We build and operate\nthe core APIs and services that power seller-facing fulfillment capabilities, including item lag time, item association,\nshipping templates, and fulfillment configuration, across multiple marketplace regions (US, Canada, Mexico, Chile, and\nbeyond).\nOur services integrate closely with Catalog, Inventory, and Transportation domains to deliver a seamless, predictable\nfulfillment experience for sellers and customers alike. We design, build, and operate scalable microservices consumed by\nSeller Center and other seller-facing platforms, as well as internal systems across the broader marketplace ecosystem.\nWe partner closely with cross-functional teams - Catalog, Inventory, Hyperloop, and other Marketplace engineering teams\n- to deliver robust, high-performance technical solutions that scale with Walmart's growing global seller base.\nWhat you'll do:\nThrough this role you have an opportunity to develop intuitive software that meets and exceeds the needs of the customer and the company.\nYou will be responsible for design, architecture, and end-to-end delivery of one or more systems/products while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.\nYou will have to estimate effort, identify risks, help with prioritization and devising/meeting project schedules.\nYou will raise the bar on sustainable engineering by improving best practices, producing best in class of code, documentation, testing and monitoring.\nYou will build and maintain systems in a way that ensures compliance with certification, regulatory standards, and a technology-based information security program.\nYou will show your skills in analyzing and testing programs/products before formal launch to ensure flawless performance\nYou will be Mentoring /coaching other engineers in the team to facilitate their development.\nWhat you'll bring:\nBE/BTech/ME/MTech//PhD in Computer Science or equivalent.\n14+ years of strong design/development experience in building massively large scale distributed systems and products\nExpertise in Data analysis and engineering.\nExtensive experience in architecting and developing real-time multithreaded Java applications that are fault-tolerant, scalable and can handle high volumes\nExcellent computer systems fundamentals, DS/Algorithms and problem solving skills.\nExpert in OO design and design patterns.\nBasic knowledge (coding experience) in Java, Spring Framework, Oracle, NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes.\nGood exposure to any of the public cloud infrastructure such as Open Stack, Azure, GCP, or AWS.\nExperience in developing and designing applications and web services in a Service Oriented Architecture, including the use of RESTful services and API gateways.\nMentor junior developers and continuously improve software engineering practices.\nAdditional Qualifications:\n· Large scale distributed systems experience, including scalability and fault tolerance.\n· Nice to have full stack experience with Java, React, Nodejs.\n· A continuous drive to explore, improve, enhance, automate, and optimize systems and tools.\n· Excellent organization, communication, interpersonal and leadership skills\nAbout Walmart Global Tech\nImagine working in an environment where one line of code can make life easier for hundreds of millions of people.
