About Team

The Corporate Technology Services data science team at Walmart Global Tech leverages advanced machine learning, agentic AI, and optimization methodologies to address complex business challenges. The team conducts comprehensive data analyses, develops predictive models, and implements machine learning algorithms, while also creating intelligent AI agents that support autonomous, data-driven decision-making. Collaborating closely with engineering teams, we design and execute scalable machine learning pipelines, agentic workflows, and resilient reference architectures on large-scale data platforms to deliver production-grade solutions.

What you will do

• Design , develop and deploy AI-enabled products to build solutions in Fintech domain
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners ( Finance, Tech, Product) to align on priorities and execute initiatives
• Play a key role to solve complex problems, pivotal to Walmart's business and drive actionable insights
• Closely collaborate with team to drive data science adoption in the domain
• Drive efficiency across the domain in terms of AI and ML best practices, ML Ops practices, resource utilization, reusability and multi-tenancy
• Articulate and present recommendations to business partners and influence plans based on insights
• Work with the customer-centric mindset to deliver high-quality business driven AI solutions
• Drive innovation in approach, method, practices, process, outcome, delivery, or any component of end-to-end problem solving
• Proactively engages in the external community to build Walmart's brand and learn more about industry practices
• Promote and support company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity

What you will bring

• Qualifications : PhD (7-8 yrs) / Master’s ( 9 yrs) / Bachelor’s (10 yrs+) preferably in Computer Science
• Proven experience in architecting AI/ML systems , building machine learning models, and deploying scalable AI/ML solutions to production
• Experience in building AI agents using RAG architectures and LLM orchestration frameworks
• Hands-on exposure to AI engineering, LangGraph, RAG, LLM optimization
• Strong hands-on expertise in Python, SQL, and the AI/ML stack
• Experience with large-scale data handling and cloud-based platforms (e.g., GCP, Azure)
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with a strong sense of ownership and delivery focus
• Strong stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work closely with both technical and non-technical partners.
