Collaborating across merchandising, product, technology, and enterprise teams, the group identifies impactful business opportunities and creates intelligent solutions that enhance decision-making, optimize strategies, and streamline operations. By leveraging data science, AI/ML, agentic AI, and automation, the team transforms insights into actionable recommendations and scalable solutions that improve business performance across Walmart’s merchandising ecosystem.\nWhat you'll do:\nDesign and deliver scalable AI-driven applications, agentic AI solutions, and intelligent automation capabilities aligned with business priorities and roadmap milestones.\nApply cloud-native architecture principles to build reliable, scalable, and maintainable applications and automated workflows.\nLead software development activities, including coding, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of production-grade solutions.\nConduct solution design reviews to validate technical feasibility, reliability, and alignment with engineering best practices.\nDevelop agentic AI workflows, integrating LLMs, AI/ML models, APIs, orchestration frameworks, and human-in-the-loop mechanisms to enable intelligent decision-making and automated execution.\nCollaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate complex business challenges into actionable technical requirements and measurable outcomes.\nWhat you'll bring:\nStrong expertise in agentic AI, generative AI, and intelligent automation, including LLM integration, agent orchestration, tool use, and human-in-the-loop workflows.\nProven experience designing/ developing scalable, production-grade applications, leveraging cloud-native technologies, APIs, microservices, and workflow automation.\nAdvanced proficiency in Python and modern software engineering practices to build intelligent applications, automation services, and reusable components.\nStrong understanding of AI/ML frameworks, LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, agent evaluation, and guardrails to develop reliable and responsible AI solutions.\nExperience with software design patterns, API integrations, and rapid prototyping to deliver modular, maintainable, and scalable solutions.\nHands-on experience with CI/CD, testing, deployment, monitoring, and observability to ensure reliability and operational excellence\nAt Walmart, we offer competitive pay as well as performance-based bonus awards and other great benefits for a happier mind, body, and wallet.
