Role summary:The (USA) Director, People Strategy leads the development and execution of human resources business systems and talent management strategies to support organizational goals. The People Strategy team at Walmart US leads strategic initiatives that drive organizational planning and impactful people programs. This team partners closely with business leaders to develop scalable solutions that support evolving business needs. Emphasizing operational excellence and innovation, the team fosters cross-functional collaboration to enhance talent management and workforce effectiveness. Members bring strong expertise in human resource management, leadership, and project management to deliver results aligned with company goals. The team is committed to advancing strategic priorities that enable business success through thoughtful planning and execution of people-focused strategies.
What you'll do:
Serve as a strategic partner to senior People and business leaders, translating business priorities into talent, organizational design, workforce planning, and enterprise People strategies. Lead a team responsible for strategic initiatives and cyclical programs, including performance, talent, succession, engagement, and annual planning. Leverage workforce insights, predictive analytics, AI, and digital solutions to improve decision-making and employee experience. Drive process optimization, organizational transformation, and adoption of new ways of working. Proactively identify emerging business and People needs, influence cross-functional partners across HR, Tech, Finance, and Operations, and ensure consistent, effective execution of People priorities across Walmart U.S.
What you'll bring:
What you’ll bring...
10+ years of experience in HR/People Partner, People Strategy, management consulting or advisory roles.
Proven track record shaping and executing large-scale organizational strategies, with experience advising senior leaders and guiding complex transformations in dynamic, matrixed environments.
10+ years of Strong cross-functional project management skills with experience in agile environments.
Demonstrated success in organizational design, workforce planning, and strategic partnership.
Experience with AI-driven solutions and digital transformation is a plus.
Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Growth mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and innovation.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
