Also, you will perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness.\nEssential Functions:\nWork safely and maintain a safe work environment, follow all plant and department specific safety rules, procedures and policies.\n\nProblem solves equipment breakdowns and perform necessary repairs to maintain quality and productivity.\n\nInstruct operators in proper care and maintenance of machines.\n\nReport irregularities to department supervisor and maintenance leadership.\n\nAssist in the installation of new equipment.\n\nWork with outside contractors to install or modify equipment.\n\nProvide skilled services to fabricate or modify machinery.\n\nDo assigned machine preventative maintenance.\n\nProperly enter information into computerized Maintenance Request Program.\n\nReport machine parts and items needed by other departments to maintenance leadership.\n\nMaintain building and grounds and all building systems as assigned.\n\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities\nUnderstand DC and AC principles and components including motors, controllers and PLCs.\n\nAbility to read blueprints and schematics.\n\nFull understanding of mechanical maintenance skills.\n\nHands on experience with lathes, milling, presses, welding, hydraulics and pneumatics.\n\nAbility to handle multiple tasks and projects.\n\nAbility to remain organized and self-directed in a fast-paced environment.\n\nAbility to work in a team environment.\n\nAbility to interface with a variety of individuals or groups on a frequent basis.\n\nAbility to work with limited direction and supervision, while demonstrating good judgment and strict confidence.\n\nAbility to learn computer applications as necessary for the position.\n\nMust successfully complete any training or certification courses required to support or strengthen position.\n\nAbility to read, interpret and follow verbal and written instructions, work procedures and other related materials.\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills including strong customer service skills.\n\nMust communicate appropriate information accurately and clearly as needed.\n\nWorking Conditions/Physical Demands:\nMust be able to stand, squat, climb, and kneel constantly for up to 8 hours.\n\nMust be able to lift and transfer material up to 75 pounds.\n\nMust be able to manipulate hand and power tool while lying on your side or back occasionally for 5-15minutes.\n\nRequired to sit, stand or walk for prolonged periods of time.\n\nUse hands and fingers to handle or feel objects or use controls, tools or equipment.\n\nMay require the ability to use a keyboard and other office equipment.\n\nMay require specific vision abilities that include close vision.\n\nMay be required to perform concentrated work for extended periods of time.\n\nMay be required to lift, carry or exert items or objects of reasonable weight.\n\nMay be required to perform duties beyond standard business
