We strive to create a culture where employees can bring themselves to work in line with our core values of integrity, honesty, and fairness.\nThe Role\nWalter Lilly is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our Science & Higher Education division, supporting a long-established framework in Weybridge.\nThis is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a successful framework where Walter Lilly maintains a permanent site presence, delivering a steady stream of small to medium-sized projects of varying values. The role offers a blend of tendering, cost management and commercial support across multiple live projects within a collaborative and well-established environment.\nWe are looking for a commercially astute surveyor who can work independently, respond quickly to client requirements and build strong working relationships with colleagues, subcontractors and stakeholders. Experience of NEC contracts would be advantageous.\nKey Responsibilities:\nManage the commercial aspects of projects delivered through an established framework agreement.\n\nPrepare cost plans, estimates, and assist with tender submissions - often within short timescales.\n\nMonitor project costs, variations and changes, ensuring accurate forecasting and financial reporting.\n\nProduce monthly cost reports, valuations and commercial updates for internal and client review.\n\nAssess and manage subcontractor procurement, packages, valuations and final accounts.\n\nSupport project teams with commercial advice and contract administration throughout the project lifecycle.\n\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective supply chain partners.\n\nIdentify opportunities to broaden and strengthen the local subcontractor network.\n\nEnsure commercial processes are robust, accurate and aligned with company procedures.\n\nWork closely with operational teams to respond effectively to changing client requirements and project priorities.\n\nAbout You\n To be considered for this role, you will have:\nProven experience in a Quantity Surveying role within the construction industry.\n\nAble to manage multiple workstreams and deliver accurate commercial outputs to tight deadlines.\n\nStrong understanding of cost management, procurement, valuations, variations and final accounts.\n\nExperience administering or working under NEC forms of contract is desirable.\n\nCommercially aware, organised and detail-oriented, with excellent numerical and analytical skills.\n\nConfident communicator who can build positive relationships with clients, colleagues and subcontractors.\n\nComfortable working independently while remaining a collaborative member of a wider project team.\n\nKnowledge of the local supply chain and subcontractor market would be beneficial.\n\nLooking for a long-term role within a stable, supportive business where quality delivery and client relationships are valued.\n\nDegree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline, or able to demonstrate equivalent industry experience.\n\nWe are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position.
