They will perform review of enclosure systems for new construction, renovation, and restoration projects. The qualified individual will investigate and determine the service life of building enclosure assemblies. They will perform enclosure review to assess air infiltration, rain water control, heat transfer, and vapor transmission. They will perform building performance analysis including evaluate day-lighting, solar heat gain, thermal energy transfer, and holistic integration of the enclosure with building mechanical, lighting, and plumbing systems.\nA sound technical background and excellent oral and written communication skills are required. A technical background in CADD and building performance modeling software is required.\nSpecific Job Responsibilities will include:\nLead projects with team of internal consultants\nAssist Senior Project Managers with project tasks\nPerform project management duties\nFacilitate client meetings\nPrepare technical presentations for client meetings\nPrepare proposals for new project pursuits\nReview enclosure details and specifications prepared by other consultants\nWork closely with architects and contractors to develop high performance details\nResearch building codes and industry standards\nWrite assessment reports\nPerform field investigations, including water leakage, non-destructive testing, travel required\nPerform modeling of enclosure assemblies using different software\nAnalyze proposed repair/design options\nDesign and draft repair drawings and details\nPrepare construction documents such as repair drawings and specifications\nObserve construction and installation of repairs/designs in the field, including quality assurance testing\nPrepare site visit reports and meeting minutes\nInteract with project clients, sub-consultants, and repair contractors\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or related fields required. Master's degree strongly preferred\n3 - 5 years of prior experience in building restoration, parking rehabilitation, renovation, building enclosure issues and/or forensic consulting required\nPE, RA, MSFE preferred (U.S. roles only)\nExperience with CADD and building performance modeling software required\nWINDOW, THERM, Tekla, and Grasshopper a plus\nExcellent written and verbal communication\nStrong organizational skills\nAbility to mentor and lead junior staff, build partnerships, and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives\nStrong time management skills and the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment\nDemonstrated career growth that includes experience working on design teams for a variety of project types\nStrong client-service attitude with ability to multi-task and accomplish multiple priorities\nHybrid Firm Position:\nAs a Hybrid Firm, Walter P Moore combines the best of both worlds - blending work options to include in-office and home office environments.
