This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to develop and apply foundational knowledge and skills in project management principles and best practices. Under the close supervision of a Project Manager, you will primarily focus on routine project coordination tasks, assisting with project reports, and providing essential support in project communication and scheduling.\n\nWhat You Will Do\nAssist Project Managers in coordinating projects, ensuring timelines are met.\nProcess project documentation such as RFIs, shop drawings and submittals, and support the change management activities.\nPrepare project reports, including internal performance and resource management reports, and draft client correspondence.\nTake meeting minutes, set up meetings, and draft agendas for project team approval.\nMaintain organized project documentation and files.\nSupport Project Directors/Managers with project start-up, coordination, scheduling, and close-out.\nFacilitate tender evaluations and relay field problems to the project team for resolution.\nHelp author and finalize contracts and obtain closeout documentation.\nFacilitate subcontractor safety documentation review and assist with safety compliance.\nAssist project management or estimating team with proposals and tendering when applicable.\nMonitor subcontractor safety on site and proactively identify hazards.\nSupport Contract Coordinators with tasks and assist Site Superintendents on projects as required.\nPerform other administrative and project coordination duties as needed.\n\nWhat You Bring to the Table\nDiploma or bachelor's degree in ACET, APFM, Construction Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or related field.\nBasic understanding of project management principles and methodologies.\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.\nAbility to solve problems as they arise; investigate and understand complex issues and report to corresponding team members for timely responses.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Outlook, Project.\nWorking knowledge of Bluebeam, Viewpoint, SiteDocs and/or Procore is advantageous.\nAbility to work both independently and collaboratively, both in office and in field settings.\nDetail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality of work.\nEagerness to learn and develop new skills in project coordination and management.\n\nWorking Conditions\nThis position is primarily office-based and involves regular computer and telephone use, with frequent coordination across office and project teams. Occasional travel to project sites or other offices may be required.
