We thrive on complex challenges and deliver business-critical IT transformation projects, moving seamlessly from strategy, design and delivery to operations.\nThis is a flexible hybrid role, with 2 days a week in our Edinburgh office and regular travel to other UK offices to support events.\nRequirements\nThe Role\nThis is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of Waracle’s UK events programme, bringing our brand to life through engaging, high-impact experiences that build relationships, generate demand and connect communities.\nFrom exclusive executive breakfasts and dinners to industry expos, partnership events and community meetups, you’ll shape memorable experiences from concept through to delivery and follow-up.\nWorking collaboratively with colleagues across Marketing, Sales, Delivery and our practice communities, you’ll play a key role in bringing people together, strengthening Waracle’s presence in the market and making every event count.\nKey aspects of the role include\nPlan, budget and deliver a calendar of events across three streams: demand generation (executive breakfasts, dinners and roundtables), brand awareness (expos, conferences and partner events) and community (practice meetups and talks).\n\nManage every stage of delivery: venue and supplier selection, contracts, logistics, speaker and guest management, on-the-day running and post-event wrap-up.\n\nWork with sales and account teams to build guest lists, personalise invitations and make sure every event supports a clear commercial or brand objective.\n\nOwn the end-to-end attendee experience, from the first invitation to the follow-up conversation.\n\nBuild and maintain relationships with partners, venues, sponsors and community members.\n\nCoordinate with content, design and digital colleagues on event promotion, collateral, social coverage and post-event content.\n\nSet success measures for each event, track attendance, pipeline influence and engagement, and report on what worked and what didn't.\n\nKeep our event data tidy and handled responsibly, in line with GDPR and our data handling policies.\n\nLook for ways to improve each event, using attendee feedback and your own observation.\n\nResearch shows that underrepresented groups tend to only apply for roles that they believe they meet 100% of the criteria for. If you think you'd be incredible in the role, then apply - even if you don't think you tick every box!\nWhat you'll bring\nExperience\nAround 3 years or more experience in events, ideally in professional services, fintech, healthtech, or technology consultancy.\n\nA track record of delivering small, high-touch events as well as larger formats.\n\nConfident managing budgets, suppliers and tight timelines.\n\nA high standard of executional excellence and delegate experience.\n\nQualities\nSelf-motivated. You see what needs doing and do it, without waiting to be asked.\n\nDiligent and dependable. People can rely on you to follow things through.\n\nObsessive, in a good way, about detail and the experience of the person in the room.\n\nCalm under pressure and good at solving problems quickly when plans change on the day.\n\nA clear, warm communicator who is comfortable with senior guests and busy internal stakeholders.\n\nCurious about our sectors and about how digital products get made.\n\nUseful but not essential\nExperience with CRM and marketing automation tools, and with event platforms.\n\nExperience in regulated sectors such as healthcare or financial services.\n\nFamiliarity with running communities or meetups\n\nWhat to expect from our hiring process\n1.
