You’ll make wiring harnesses, assemble and rework circuit boards, and help integrate avionics into the vehicle and into test setups. You’ll report to the Head of Avionics.\nYou’ll also work alongside the mechanical, propulsion, GNC, and seeker teams. The hardware you build will go through testing and demonstration campaigns.\nWhat You’ll Do\nBuild hardware\nFabricate wiring harnesses and cables from drawings and wiring diagrams, including cutting, stripping, crimping, soldering, and connector assembly.\nAssemble, solder, and rework circuit boards, including surface-mount and through-hole components.\nAssemble avionics boxes, test setups, and ground support equipment.\nTest and troubleshoot\nTest harnesses and boards using multimeters, continuity and hipot testers, oscilloscopes, and power supplies.\nHelp engineers bring up new boards and track down hardware problems.\nRecord test results and flag problems clearly.\nIntegrate and support tests\nInstall avionics and harnesses in the vehicle and in test setups.\nSupport ground tests, static fires, and flight tests, including setup, checkout, and teardown.\nKeep the lab running\nFollow build procedures and record build and inspection results.\nMaintain the electronics lab, ESD controls, tools, and inventory of components and supplies.\nSuggest improvements to procedures, tools, and fixtures to make builds faster and more consistent.\nRequired Qualifications\nAssociate degree, technical certificate, or military training in electronics or avionics, or equivalent experience.\n2+ years of hands-on experience building or repairing electronics or wiring harnesses.\nStrong soldering skills, including surface-mount and through-hole work.\nAble to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings.\nComfortable with multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and other basic test equipment.\nCareful, organized, and consistent in your work and records.\nMust be a U.S. person as defined by ITAR (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual).
