Bonus points for experience with air and missile defense systems.\nWhat You’ll Work On\nFinancial planning and analysis of defense industrial projects\nSupport engagement with DoD customers, labs, and program offices\nHelp prepare briefing materials, whitepapers, and proposals (SBIR, BAAs, RFPs)\nTrack and analyze defense programs, budgets, and acquisition pathways\nAssist with partner and prime contractor outreach\nConduct market and competitive analysis across defense\nSit in on real customer calls, strategy discussions, and reviews\nPotential travel to military bases and conferences domestically\nBonus points for active clearance\nThis is a hands-on role with direct exposure to how early-stage defense companies work with government customers.\nWho We’re Looking For\nPrior service members strongly preferred, especially those with experience in air and missile defense\nCurrently pursuing an MBA\nDemonstrated interest in defense technology and national security\nBachelor's degree in engineering, policy, economics, business, or a related field\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nComfortable with ambiguity and fast-moving environments\nInterest in national security, defense acquisition, and emerging technology\nAbility to work in the U.S. (citizenship required)\nBonus points for experience with:\nDoD acquisition processes or program offices\nSBIR / STTR or government contracting\nStrategy, consulting, or defense policy\nEngineering background and ability to engage with engineers\nWhy Wardstone\nWork on real national security problems with real customers\nLearn how defense startups engage with the DoD from the inside\nDirect mentorship from founders\nHigh ownership, real responsibility, no busywork\nCompetitive compensation for interns\nCompensation\nThe base pay range for this role is $8,000 -
