We are looking for a Senior Engineer to join the India Identity and Growth teams and enable the global expansion of our services.\nRoles & Responsibilities: \nBuild high-performance, stable, and scalable systems deployed in production.\nAlways champion engineering and operational excellence.\nDrive best practices and set standards within the team.\nInfluence the team’s strategy and contribute significantly to planning.\nExercise good judgment when balancing immediate and long-term business needs.\nCreatively think and innovate to deliver delightful experiences for customers.\nAlways demonstrate data-driven decision-making and continuously seek solutions to challenging problems.\nHold strong opinions while remaining open to other perspectives.\nConsistently deliver results, with quality, in a fast-paced environment.\nCollaborate with peers, share knowledge, and contribute to technical decisions.\nLead major functional changes in existing or new software systems.\nInvestigate production issues, identify root causes, and improve processes.\nDocument code, designs, and processes for clarity.\nProvide guidance on design, coding, and operational best practices.\nEstablish best practices and quality standards within the team.\nMentor junior engineers and positively influence the team.\nWhat to Bring:\nBachelor’s degree with 5 - 8 years of experience as a software developer.\nStrong proficiency in Java (8+) with experience building scalable, cloud-native, microservices-based systems.\nExperience in building and operating global-scale large platform services in non-prod and prod environments.\nAbility to collaborate effectively with remote peers across disparate geographies and time zones.\nStrong CS fundamentals; strong technical understanding of Kubernetes-based microservice architectures, REST/gRPC communication patterns, caching solutions, messaging services, DB services, API gateways, service mesh, and infrastructure-as-code technologies/processes.\nDirect experience with at least one cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure, or other).\nExperience establishing and improving data-driven infrastructure and service KPIs such as performance, scale, availability, reliability, security.\nA strong understanding of security best practices and a high bar for protecting customer data.\nAbility to implement alerting, metrics, and logging using tools like Prometheus, CloudWatch, Kibana, PagerDuty.\nExperience with persistence and caching solutions such as PostgreSQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, DynamoDB, and Caffeine\nFamiliar with asynchronous, non-blocking, functional/reactive styles of programming.
