We are CNN.\nㅤ\nOverview\nAs the Technical Program Manager for CNN’s Connected TV Engagement team,you’lllead execution of the CTV roadmap-translating product goals into certified, high-quality experiences on every device and growing engagement on the platform. Day to day,you’llwork with CTV engineers (BrightScript, TypeScript/JS, Swift) and Backend, Product Managers and Designers, platformpartnerand certification contacts (Roku, Amazon, Apple, Samsung, Comcast), and Mission leadership.\nWhat you’ll do\nOwnend-to-end delivery planning for CNN's CTV roadmap-from intake through certified release-across every major platform (Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, Samsung, Android TV, Comcast, and others)\n\nPartner with Product, Design, and Engineering leads to align timelines, scope, and expectations across teams and platform partners\n\nIdentify dependencies across Platform, Backend, Editorial, and partner platform teams, acting as the requester and coordinator for platform and certification needs\n\nSurface delivery and certification risks early with clear mitigation paths-keeping delivery predictable with no material late surprises\n\nCoordinate shared codebase development for common features (TypeScript/JS,BrightScript, Swift)\n\nPartner with engineering on performance tuning across low-powered CTV devices\n\nTrack and report on engagement KPIs for CTV experiences\n\nCommunicate progress, tradeoffs, and certification timelines to stakeholders\n\nShip releases on time that clear platform certification with minimal resubmission, delivering a consistent CNN experience across every platform\n\nWhat we’re looking for\nExtent of skillset may vary based on level and area.\nGenuine curiosity about how things work and pride of workmanship-someone who enjoys tinkering and building outside of work\n\nCustomer focused, with a strong problem-solving mindset - able to reduce ambiguous problems into manageable chunks and find creative technical approaches to delivery\n\nProven ability to own roadmaps, manage dependencies, and drive cross-functional execution, with skilled release planning, risk management, and status reporting up and down the org\n\nStrong understanding of system architecture, APIs, and integrations - able to discuss technical design with engineers and identify technical and non-technical risks early\n\nWorking familiarity with CTV platform ecosystems and languages (TypeScript/JS, BrightScript,Swift), plus data flows, content pipelines, and media formats (video, audio, metadata)\n\nClear communicator who can translate user needs into technical requirements and vice versa, making tradeoffs explicit (time, scope, quality) to secure stakeholder buy-in\n\nUses quantitative metrics (usage, latency, uptime, KPIs) and qualitative feedback to inform decisions\n\nInfluences without authority - strong facilitation skills to align editorial, product, design, and engineering stakeholders across departments\n\nNice to Have\nExperience navigating store submission and certification cycles is a strong plus\n\nHigh adaptability in fast-paced, shifting news cycles\n\nComfortable reading/writing basic queries and building or interpreting dashboards, analytics, and reporting to track program health\n\nAbout Skydance\nSkydance is a next-generation global media and entertainment company, comprised of three business segments: Studios, Direct-to-Consumer, and TV Media.
