You'll join a mature Shopify environment with an established codebase and release process, working on everything from day-to-day fixes to new theme features.\nThere's a real learning curve here, and we'll support you with structured onboarding and code review. What matters most is solid Shopify fundamentals, clean code habits, and a genuine drive to learn and take on more over time.\nHere you’ll get to:\nBuild and customise theme sections, templates and features in Liquid\n\nPick up development tickets, from settings and content changes to bug fixes and new functionality, growing into larger features as you ramp up\n\nBuild configurable sections with well-structured theme settings, so merchants can make changes without code\n\nWrite structured, maintainable code: component-based JavaScript, scoped to its section, with clear naming and no one-off workarounds\n\nMake sure your work is responsive, cross-browser compatible and accessible\n\nInstall, configure and troubleshoot Shopify apps\n\nWork in Git and pull request workflows, including reviewing and responding to code review\n\nWork closely with QA to test and ship changes safely\n\nLook for ways to automate repetitive work, using AI tools where they help\n\nAbout you:\n3+ years of hands-on Shopify development experience at an agency or a brand running on Shopify\n\nA portfolio of Shopify work you can show us\n\nSolid understanding of Shopify themes: sections, templates, theme settings and the Shopify admin\n\nWorking knowledge of HTML, CSS, Liquid, JavaScript and TypeScript, plus familiarity with lightweight client-side frameworks such as Stimulus or Alpine.js\n\nUnderstanding of responsive, mobile-first development\n\nWorking knowledge of accessibility best practices and WCAG 2.1 AA\n\nComfortable with Git and pull requests\n\nExperience using AI tools in your development workflow\n\nA habit of structured code development: organised files, reusable components and code that other developers can easily read and extend\n\nGood problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ownership of your work\n\nWe’d love it if you also had:\nShopify Plus experience\n\nShopify CLI, Theme Check or the Shopify Admin API (GraphQL)\n\nCI/CD experience,
