We are always on the lookout for future-oriented talent - want to join the ride?\nWe are looking for a Service Coordinator who takes care of managing and planning of Field Service activities according to customer needs and contracts as well as quality, health, safety and environmental and cost targets, and ensuring customer satisfaction in all activities.\nThis is a permanent role located in Kobe, Japan, reporting to FS Operations Manager.\nWhat will you be doing\nAs Field Service Coordinator, your work will focus on these responsibilities:\nCoordinates and schedules field service operations, aligning team efforts with customer requirements and service standards.\nCollaborates with customers and other external stakeholders and acts as a point of contact for field service teams, facilitating communication and shared awareness between technicians, customers, and relevant internal and external stakeholders.\nMonitors field service activities to ensure compliance with safety protocols, service standards, nd operational processes as well as customer policies, guidelines and regulations.\nAssists in the resolution of technical and operational issues, providing support and guidance to field service personnel.\nContributes to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and implementing enhancements to field service processes.\nMaintains accurate records of field service activities, including resource allocation, service delivery timelines, and customer feedback.\nTo be successful in this position, you shall have:\nDegree in Marine Electrical & Automation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Previous field service, commissioning, or similar hands-on experience is highly preferred.\nDemonstrates a strong commitment to safety and a proactive safety-first mindset.\nStrong communication, negotiation, and coordination skills with a customer-focused approach.\nExcellent organizational skills and customer empathy, combined with a proven commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.\nStrong team collaboration skills with the ability to adapt, prioritize, and re-plan effectively in a dynamic working environment.\nHigh level of cost awareness with a focus on operational efficiency and value-driven decision-making.\nGood documentation, reporting, analytical, and record management skills.\nFluent in spoken and written Japanese.\nGood in spoken and written English.\n\nPlease note that according to Wärtsilä policy, voluntary consent for a security check may be required from candidates being considered for this position.\nWhy you and us\nYou are valued - as your true self.
