Want to join the ride?\nPosition Description:\nAs lead manufacturing engineer you will assist the department manager in the day to day running of the production engineering team.\nResponsible for creating, improving and maintaining manufacturing processes.\n\nProvide production support and problem solve manufacturing issues.\n\nSupport Sub-Contract team with technical liaison.\n\nPrepared to be flexible with working hours to suit the business needs.\n\nWork to tight deadlines to achieve on time delivery targets.\n\nPossess strong problem-solving and good communication skills.\n\nWork with Design Engineering on new product DFM\n\nAbility to communicate and influence cross functional teams\n\nResponsibilities:\nDrive improvements as part of continuous improvement culture\nSupervise and mentor the junior members of team.\n\nWork in a safe manner in line with the companies Health and Safety policy.\n\nEnsure quality is maintained and processes are correctly implemented to company standards.\nEssential Experience:\nExperience of working in a busy production office environment\n\nPrevious experience of working with super alloys, castings and composites\n\nIdeally Apprentice served with machinist experience background\n\nAble to read engineering drawings and understand tolerance requirements\n\nStrong modern tooling knowledge.\n\nFamiliar with modern machining methods\n\nWork holding /fixture design experience\n\nExpertise in CAD. Solid Edge or similar system\n\nUnderstanding of CNC code and offline programming experience an advantage\n\nCapital Expenditure (CAPEX): Identify suitable new equipment, create proposals, and oversee the commissioning and FAT\n\nComputer Literate (Microsoft)\nSAP experience an advantage.
