We are now looking for a
Machine Operator
to join our agile and dynamic team Production Team.
The position is temporary with a duration of 6+6 months. The location for the position is Porriño, Spain.
What will you be doing
In this position, your work will include machining and deburring. On a typical day, you might machine one or several pieces . You will not be working on this alone - even though the work requires a high level of independence, you will have the support from your supervisor and your teammates.
For us to be the best match, we expect you to have a good understanding of manufacturing standards and experience working with CNC machines. As an ideal candidate, you have gained experience from other manufacturing environments, and knowledge of manufacturing processes. For you to succeed in the position, we hope you to have a good attitude and willingness to learn.
In addition to the core team, you will be working closely with the Logistics and other Production teams.
As Machine Operator, your work will focus on these responsibilities:
- Set-up and basic care of machine tooling
- Machining of components to specification
- CNC machine programming and editing
- Tooling and fixture set-up
- Use of measuring equipment
- Quality checking own work
- Use of engineering machinery [i.e. pillar drills, hand tools, bandsaw etc.]
- Deburring
- Use of overhead cranes
- Communicate with all ops teams to ensure proactive actions are taken to meet OTIF
- Continuous improvement relating to process and procedures
- All duties carried out to be done in a safe manner following H&S safety procedures
- Any other duties that may be required
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
- CNC machining knowledge
- Experience working with engineering drawings
