Senior BI Developer m/f

We are now looking for a Senior BI Developer m/f to join our team working for a better future.

The position is temporary with fixed term contract for 12 months and it is located in Gdańsk, Poland.

What you will be doing

As a Senior BI Developer you and your colleagues are responsible of development, maintenance and end user support for Wärtsilä's global Finance & Control BI applications and you work together with the FDACC team members and our stakeholders across Wärtsilä organization to ensure that the underlying data pipeline is optimal and provides correct results on reporting side. You will also be used in e.g. BI related process development and help building and implementing standardized best practices and Wärtsilä Way of working for BI development.

To succeed in this role, we expect you to have:

• Ability to work on-site at our offices in Gdańsk
• MSc / BSc in relevant field (Economics, Financial Accounting, Computer Science or equivalent)
• 5+ years of experience developing complex applications with Power BI / Fabric.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining dataflows and models with Databricks or similar Data / AI platforms
• You're able to work independently and have the needed project management skills for efficient development of complex BI applications
• Pro-active, analytical, systematic, and organised way of working
• Excellent customer service skills and problem-solving capabilities
• Fluent in English
• Good communication skills

Also seen as a benefit:

• Background as a BI consultant or Internal BI Developer is seen as an advantage
• Experienced working with SAP data
• Experience working with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
• Good understanding of ETL/ELT flows, scheduling, Data Warehousing etc. Related areas
