We are always on the lookout for future-oriented talent - want to join the ride?\nService Technician, Mechanical\nWärtsilä North America. is looking for a Service Technician, Mechanical to join our dynamic, fast-paced Field Service team for Energy Business.\nWhat will you be doing\nAs a Service Technician, you will perform advanced mechanical as well as electronic & automation and system integration related troubleshooting on reciprocating internal combustion (RICE) engines and auxiliary equipment.\nAs a Service Technician, you will focus on these responsibilities:\nPerform Field Service activities according to the work plan and tasks that may be assigned.\nSupport in the technical advisory for repair activities executed on customers responsibility.\nInteract with customers during the work execution.\nInteracting with FS back office during work execution.\nReport to local team leader and assist in generating Service Work Reports as needed.\nEnsure that the work is executed according to Wartsila quality, health and environmental guidelines and customer site procedures.\nComply with the management system according to what has been implemented locally for her/his position.\nProactively consult, advise, and promote available Wartsila solutions and products to customer.\nPerform all activities needed to reach the objectives of the position and comply with the orders, instructions, values and company policies applicable as employee and to the position.\nTo be successful in this role, we expect you to have:\n1-2 years of experience working field service activities on:\nReciprocating Internal Combustion Engines (RICE)\nDiesel or heavy fuel engines\nGas and or dual fuel engines\nFuel oil or gas injection systems\nEngines auxiliary systems (separators, radiator, fuel and air systems)\nAdditional Skills\nGood leadership and collaboration skills\nGood electrical knowledge\nExcellent English communication skills (verbal and written)\nGood computer skills\nPhysical & Mental/Reasoning Demands:\nThese are physical and mental requirements of the position as it is typically performed.
