We are always on the lookout for future-oriented talent - want to join the ride?\nYour main responsibilities are\nIdentify, develop and execute supplier development actions\nMonitor and analyse supplier performance and give guidance accordingly\nTake ownership and action on Quality, Delivery and Cost activities utilizing defined supplier development tools (e.g. supplier audit, Go&See, WPAP, PQAP)\nActively participate in the Category action plan creation including decision making of supplier rationalization and change\nExecute supplier audits and audit follow-up according to supplier audit plan\nDevelop and execute supplier development action plan for supplier improvements\nSupport suppliers with their operational efficiency / organizational growth / product improvement and development initiative\nAssess and follow up the suppliers' quality management systems and Supplier Management System (VMS) rating\nPoint of contact for supplier with an escalated quality, delivery or technical problem\nParticipate in the development of Wärtsilä's tools and procedures for Supplier Development and in other assigned development projects\nYou will shine in this role when you have:\nDesired Skills:\nProcess development and project management knowledge coupled with a strong focus on quality, speed and cost\nSolution oriented approach, capability to implement and persistency to follow-up activities in order to ensure sustainability\nKnowledge of casting/forging/welding manufacturing process and testing, in particular hydraulics and E-motor\nAble to work in a distributed team and self-driven approach\nGood communication and presentation skills to effectively deliver the messages to different audiences and target groups\nFluent command in English, both oral and written\nSolid understanding of sourcing and supply management\nExperience and understanding of Operational Excellence principles and awareness about working with Continuous Improvement Process tools regarding Quality, Delivery and Cost (Kaizen, 5S, 6 Sigma, etc.)\nKnowledge of SD toolbox, SAP and Wärtsilä's reporting tool are seen as advantages\nEducation:\nUniversity / Polytechnic Degree in Industrial Engineering and/or Business or equivalent education.\nManufacturing/Technical background & experience. \nAt least 3 years experience as industrial engineer /and purchasing, preferably with experience in Engineering, Manufacturing operations or quality. \nCan do attitude and result oriented working method\nExperience:\nRelevant technical and manufacturing knowledge\nProfessional expertise within Supply Chain management, Engineering, Manufacturing or Quality\nExperience in working with Continuous Improvement Process tools regarding Quality, Delivery and Cost such as Kaizen, 5S, 6 Sigma, considered as a plus.\nWhy you and us\nYou are valued - as your true self.
