We offer the possibility of hybrid work.\nYour role and responsibilities\nAs a Technical Service Manager, Databricks your work will include being part of short- and long-term service and solution development for global Databricks solutions, running the service and being contact point for stakeholders. Additionally, you will be driving and adopting AI in data platforms including practises and guidance. The tasks can also be adjusted based on your individual skills and interests. You’ll be working together with data platforms Solution Manager and be part of the skilled Platform engineering & developer services team with diverse expertise.\nYour work will focus on these responsibilities:\nDatabricks platform service and technical management and governance\nHandling business demand and turning business ideas into value adding solutions\nSolution and Service & Design: Develop scalable, secure, and leveraging the Lakehouse model, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog for governance etc.\nProvide expert advice, best practices, and training to customer teams on Databricks features and data engineering\nInfluence and support technical project delivery, manage scope, resolve blockers, and ensure adherence to best practices and quality standards. Act as a trusted advisor\nStay current with new Databricks features\nTo be able to succeed in the position, we expect you to have:\nStrong expertise in Databricks, Genie, Apache Spark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, DLT, Workflows, and SQL Warehouses etc.\nPractical experience in Python, PySpark, and SQL for ETL/data transformation\nExperience with DataOps, CI/CD \nCloud platform knowledge (AWS, Azure)\nStrong experience and understanding about enterprise level IT service management\nExcellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills\nWhy you and us?\nWe at Wärtsilä believe in empowerment, ownership and taking responsibility of our work.
