It’s all part of our vision to make cloud storage the next great global utility, just like electricity.\nAbout the Job \nWasabi is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant who has hands-on experience with AI to join our team and report directly to the Accounting Manager. The Senior Accountant is responsible for accounting for fixed assets and lease activity for Wasabi’s various office leases and data center leases, which includes preparing month-end journal entries and account reconciliations. The candidate will be self-motivated, detail oriented and a team player capable of taking on various aspects of accounting within the department with increasing responsibility as the company continues to grow. The ideal candidate should have a very strong accounting background and be ready to adopt new tools and be capable of leveraging AI in streamlining AI agents in our workflows. This role is very critical, and we are looking for a candidate who is willing to learn, grow, and embrace a fast-paced work environment and is looking to associate with Wasabi for the long term. \nJob Responsibilities \nOur AI-First Vision: Below are the current responsibilities of this role and our goal is to build agentic workflows for each one, either by leveraging our existing AI tools or by adopting or building a new AI tool, to automate and streamline these workflows. We are looking for someone excited to help drive that transformation. \nDaily review of lease invoices received in the AP mailbox; follow up with vendors on discrepancies as needed. \nReview lease and fixed asset invoices coding in NetSuite. \nReconcile lease recurring cost against lease amortization schedule and control documentation. \nReview and analyze new lease agreements. \nSend monthly lease email check-ins to the operations team to confirm new lease agreements and modifications. \nPrepare and update lease schedules for any changes and modifications. \nBook lease journal entries and reconcile lease accounts. \nRecord depreciation expense and reconcile fixed asset accounts. \nTimely closing of all month-end close entries, including lease, fixed asset, and other miscellaneous reconciliations. \nCollaborate with other teams to gather accurate information to support the close process. \nSupport audit documentation and provide clarification as needed. \nAdhere to internal control processes. \nComplete ad-hoc projects as required. \nOther duties assigned commensurate with the level and scope of the position. \nQualifications \nBachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required. \n5+ years of technology (SaaS) industry and/or start-up environment experience with exposure to lease accounting preferred. \nUnderstanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). \nMust be detail oriented, attentive to deadlines, strong analytic and problem-solving skills. \nMust have strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, work under deadlines. \nMust have the ability to communicate effectively within the accounting team, with vendors and with other departments. \nExperience with NetSuite accounting software is preferred and with Net Lease a plus. \nExpertise in office productivity software (such as Excel, PowerPoint and Word). \nHands-on experience with AI tools and a strong interest in applying AI to automate and streamline accounting workflows. \nPreferred Qualifications \nKnowledge of ASC 842 lease accounting is a strong plus. \nAutomating the close- leveraging AI to streamline and automate month-end close activities such as journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting to improve accuracy and efficiency. \nBuilding agents that run a workflow from end to end- leveraging AI to design and deploy agentic workflows that complete multi-step accounting processes autonomously, from data gathering through to final output. \nConnecting Claude to live data through MCPs and APIs- integrating AI tools with our systems (such as NetSuite) using MCP servers and APIs to pull real-time data directly into accounting workflows. \nTesting AI tools -evaluating and validating new and existing AI tools to confirm accuracy, reliability, and fit before adopting them into our accounting processes. \n\nCompensation: \nBase Salary - $90,000- $110,000\nThe base salary range reflects the full range for this position at Wasabi Technologies.
