IoT Engineer

·        Develop, test and maintain C/C++ firmware on ESP32 / ESP32-S3 microcontrollers for the control boards of automatic car wash stations.

·        Control actuators (pumps, solenoid valves, motors, power relays) and process sensor signals over UART, SPI, I2C, GPIO, PWM and ADC.

·        Build and maintain device telemetry to the monitoring platform over MQTT; set up dashboards and threshold-based incident alerts.

·        Implement Wi-Fi provisioning and automatic device onboarding when new stations are installed.

·        Deploy over-the-air (OTA) firmware updates with rollback; secure device communication with TLS encryption and digital certificates.

·        Work with the product – application team to synchronise device state with the JETX application: opening and closing wash sessions, wash validation and reconciliation.

·        Test firmware on the bench and at live stations; use logic analyzer, oscilloscope and multimeter to analyse and resolve faults.

·        Support the technical team in installing, wiring, configuring and accepting electronic equipment at stations; diagnose remotely and attend site for complex incidents.

·        Prepare technical documentation, troubleshooting guides and technical training for the operations team.

·        Authorised to propose halting or rolling back a firmware release when a risk to station operation is detected.

·        Perform other tasks as assigned.

1. Education

·        Graduated from college or university in Electrical – Electronics, Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems, Mechatronics, Automation or a related field.

·        Able to read and understand schematics, wiring diagrams and technical documents, including documents in English.

2. Knowledge and skills

·        Proficient in C/C++ for embedded systems: pointers, memory management, basic object-oriented programming.

·        Hands-on experience with ESP32 / ESP32-S3 or equivalent microcontrollers: GPIO, PWM, ADC, timers, interrupts (ISR), finite state machines (FSM) and FreeRTOS.

·        Experience with MQTT and Wi-Fi (Station / Access Point modes, provisioning); understanding of TCP/IP at application level.

·        Proficient with Git, embedded development environments (PlatformIO, ESP-IDF or equivalent) and basic measurement instruments.

·        Understanding of relay control, optocoupler isolation and flyback protection for power loads.

·        Preference for candidates who have implemented OTA with rollback and TLS / X.509 security, worked with device monitoring platforms (ThingsBoard or equivalent), used Python for test tooling and data processing, or have knowledge of image processing and computer vision (OpenCV).

3. Experience

·        At least 01 year of experience in embedded programming or IoT device development, including internships and projects with a completed product.

·        Preference for candidates who have worked with multi-site device fleets or with outdoor equipment in wet environments.

4. Health requirements

·        Good health, able to work at the warehouse and at business locations.

·        Able to travel when required and to provide support outside working hours when an incident affects station operation.

WORK LOCATION AND WORKING HOURS

·        Working hours: 8h30 - 17h30, …… days/week.
