With global distribution and sites located throughout North American and Europe, Washington Mills opens the door to a world of opportunity, creativity, and challenge.\nWhat You’ll Do\nThe Plant Controller will oversee and administer Tonawanda’s accounting system to ensure all financial reporting, policies, and procedures are in compliance with GAAP and applicable laws. This role serves as a key member of the Tonawanda leadership team and requires a strong on-site presence to effectively support operations and fulfill position responsibilities. This person will report directly to the Corporate Controller with a dotted line to the Plant Manager.\nPrepare and oversee monthly close process for plant, ensuring completeness and accuracy of report packages\nAnalyze product costs and compile product cost statements for management review on a monthly basis\nReconcile intercompany accounts on a monthly basis\nProactively meet with plant management regularly to discuss costs comparisons to budget and perform cost analyses to drive cost management and savings\nCoordinate annual physical inventories and update system to actual based on count results and report variances to local and corporate management\nEstablish and update standard inventory values on an annual basis or as needed\nPrepare necessary regulatory filings including periodic sales & use tax filings, annual FORM 1099’s, and any other non-payroll required filings\nResponsibility for supporting the Niagara Falls New York Government funded research and development lab's financial reporting\nAssist in ERP (IFS) Implementation for Finance and Operations teams\nWhat You’ll Need\nTo be successful in this position, you must:\nPossess a bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or finance and have 3 or more years of management \nHave strong interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills\nBe knowledgeable in the principles and practices of purchasing, including competitive bidding practices\nHave high standards of ethics and integrity and be able to represent the company in a professional and effective manner to various associations, customers, vendors, and the public\nHave the ability to manage and compile large amounts of data into meaningful analysis\nBe self-motivated and have the proven ability to work in, and contribute to, a team environment to drive operations and process improvements\nBe a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain government clearance\nCompensation\nWe proudly offer robust compensation and benefits packages, including:\nCompetitive pay, commensurate with experience\nHeavily subsidized medical and dental plans\nEmployer-sponsored retirement plan\nCompany-paid life insurance\nImmediate paid vacation and generous holiday time\nFamily-friendly sick and personal leave policies\nOpportunities for career development\n\nWashington Mills aims to deliver a comprehensive compensation package. The compensation provided is the national pay range for this position of $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year depending on experience.
