Provides reporting on accounts reimbursement and/or A/R activity, income budget forecasting and implements service orientation for patient accounts office.Job Description\nPrimary Duties & Responsibilities:\nDevelops and maintains systems for account management, data entry, collections and general operations of Accounts Receivable (A/R).\nDevelops income projections and long range plans for obtaining them.\nProvides monthly income, cost center and ad hoc reporting to Business Manager.\nMaintains environment and training opportunity compatible with growth and development of staff.\nOversees office staffing, ensuring appropriate staffing levels.\nProvides managerial guidance to assistant managers to meet monthly/annual goals.\nMaintains and updates master fee schedule.\nPrepares and monitors patient accounts annual income and expense budget under direction of Business Manager.\nServes as liaison to third party payers, vendors, medical center personnel, patients and/or their families in problem situations when necessary.\nAssists with the development of A/R charge and collection policies.\nAssists with contract negotiations with third-party payers.\nAssists supervisors in recruiting personnel needed.\nWorking Conditions:\nJob Location/Working Conditions:\nNormal office environment.\nPhysical Effort:\nTypically sitting at desk or table.\nRepetitive wrist, hand or finger movement (PC Typing).\nEquipment:\nOffice equipment.\nThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by people assigned to this classification.
