As aApprentice Welder, you will be building and performing repairs on metal container, welding trucks body, as well you may operate equipment and will be keeping the container storage yard organized. You will be responsible for maintaining Loraas vehicles and equipment in a safe working order. The Journeyman Welder will ensure that work performed will meet all provincial regulations and standards, and Loraas safety standards.\nAs a condition of employment, all new employees to safety sensitive positions must successfully pass a substance test within a two-week period of their hiring date.\nRate: $23.60/hourly\nShift: Monday to Friday - Day Shift\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nWeld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)\nRead blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures\nDetermine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements\nTest and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover and fix any flaws\nWhat we need from you:\n1st or 2nd year Apprenticeship Welder\n1-2 years of experience as a Heavy-Duty Welding\nMust be able to pass all pre-employment tests\nExperience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MMA etc.)\nExperience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)\nCommercial Driving License is an asset\nWhat You’ll Get From Us:\nA team environment that embraces a \"work hard, play harder\" culture.\nA compensation package that is competitive and comes with excellent benefits.\nWell-maintained equipment and facilities.\nOpportunities for learning, advancement, personal growth, and challenge.\nWe thank all applicants for their interest but advise only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
