If you know your numbers, Waste Connections will ask you “Where To”? \n*This role will require relocation in an 18-24 month timeframe.\nPosition Responsibilities\nPerforming monthly financial close functions through preparation of financial statements for each designated operating location.\nReconciliation of all general ledger accounts.\nMonthly narrative analysis of significant financial variances to budget and forecast.\nMonthly completion of a three-month financial forecast.\nRate analysis and review.\nEffective ongoing communication of financial related information to business counterparts.\nManaging flow of accounting data to/from decentralized field operational offices.\nAssisting with quarterly Sarbanes Oxley compliance and review.\nPlanning and participating in the annual financial budget process.\nProviding training to non-financial personnel on internal control compliance, accounting procedures and financial statement review.\nSome travel and awesome potential for relocation opportunities.\nYour technical background should include:\nBS/BA degree in Accounting.\n2 years of public accounting experience strongly preferred.\nIntermediate to advanced skills in MS Excel and related accounting business systems.\nProven excellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nWhat’s In It For You:\nWe offer excellent benefits including: medical, dental, vision, flexible spending account, long term disability, life insurance, 401K retirement and unlimited opportunities to \"Connect with Your Future\".
