A typical schedule is Monday - Friday, with occasional Saturdays as needed. The workweek is approximately 50-55 hours.\nGuaranteed routes on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.\nWednesday or Saturday will serve as the 5th day, but driving is not guaranteed on this day.\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nSafely operate a Automated Side Load/Automated Front Load garbage truck on specified routes to collect commercial solid waste.\nEnsure accurate and timely collection and disposal of waste by operating hydraulic systems to empty containers.\nInteract courteously with customers while performing the job.\nPerform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the vehicle to ensure it is in proper working order.\nEnsure safety protocols are followed during collection and disposal.\nPerform a physically demanding job, including loading and unloading waste from front-load containers.\nMaintain cleanliness of the truck and work area.\nFollow route sheets and service each customer assigned by the dispatcher.\nWORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:\nExtensive physical activity, including heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling objects over 50 pounds.\nWork environment may involve some exposure to physical risks, including moving mechanical parts, requiring basic safety precautions.\nExposure to outdoor weather conditions, including wet/humid conditions, as well as fumes and vibration.
