This role is responsible for both proactive candidate sourcing and full-cycle recruiting support across multiple divisions and job families.\nThe ideal candidate is highly organized, enjoys building relationships, thinks creatively about talent attraction, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This individual will partner closely with hiring managers and operations leaders to identify, attract, and hire top talent while creating a positive candidate experience.\nThis position will be based in Omaha, Nebraska.\nKey Responsibilities\nRecruiting\nManage full-cycle recruiting activities for assigned requisitions.\nPartner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and develop recruiting strategies.\nConduct candidate screenings and assess qualifications, skills, and cultural fit.\nCoordinate interview scheduling and facilitate communication between candidates and hiring teams.\nMaintain requisition activity and candidate pipelines within recruiting systems.\nAssist with offer preparation and pre-employment processes.\nEnsure an exceptional candidate experience throughout the hiring process.\nMonitor recruiting metrics and provide updates on open positions, pipeline health, and hiring progress.\nSourcing\nProactively identify passive and active candidates through job boards, social media platforms, networking, referrals, talent databases, and direct outreach.\nDevelop talent pipelines for high-volume and hard-to-fill positions.\nUtilize creative sourcing strategies to build candidate pools before hiring needs arise.\nConduct market research and talent mapping to identify potential recruiting opportunities.\nGenerate candidate leads through community partnerships, industry events, military outreach, and local networking efforts.\nLeverage technology and recruiting tools to improve sourcing effectiveness and candidate engagement.\nPartnership & Collaboration\nBuild strong relationships with division leadership and hiring managers across the Central Region.\nProvide guidance and recommendations on recruiting best practices and market conditions.\nParticipate in recruiting events, career fairs, community outreach efforts, and hiring campaigns.\nTravel to division locations to support recruiting initiatives and strengthen partnerships with field leadership.\nCollaborate with recruiters, HR teams, and operational leaders to ensure hiring goals are achieved.\nQualifications\nRequired\nBachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.\n3+ years of recruiting, sourcing, talent acquisition, staffing, or related experience.\nStrong communication and relationship-building skills.\nAbility to successfully manage multiple priorities and deadlines.\nStrong organizational and time-management skills.\nAbility to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.\nValid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the Central Region.\nPreferred\nExperience recruiting for operations, transportation, maintenance, skilled trades, or industrial positions.\nExperience utilizing sourcing platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, social media recruiting, and CRM systems.\nKnowledge of applicant tracking systems and recruiting technologies.\nSuccess Measures\nHiring goal attainment\nTime-to-fill metrics\nQuality of hire\nCandidate pipeline development\nHiring manager satisfaction\nCandidate experience\nAged requisition reduction\nProactive sourcing activity and talent pool growth\nWhy Waste Connections?\nAt Waste Connections, people are our greatest asset.
