This is an excellent opportunity with a growing company!\nResponsibilities will include the following:\nLead various engineering constructionand permitting projects.\nSupport our customers and sales team in identifying and optimizing waste handling solutions.\nReview and understand all permits governing the landfill and provide guidance to District Managers to ensure site compliance.\nAssist with landfill, transfer station, material recyclingfacility, and hauling site environmental audits.\nManage and respond to regulatory and community concerns\nThe ideal candidate will possess the following:\nDesire to be a leader in the company’s engineering and environmental program and to learn and grow all business sectors across the company.\nAbility to follow established procedures with minimal amount of direct supervision.\nAbility to interpret documents such as safetyrules, contracts, federal, state and local regulations, engineering designand operating plans, maintenance and procedural manuals.\nExcellent technical report writingskills.\nAbility to define problems, collect data, interpret data and draw valid conclusions.\nAbility to predict and manage future complianceneeds and adapt to changing regulatory environments.\nAbility to build and maintain strong relationships with sales team, operationsteam, outside consultants and vendors, and customers.\nMinimum requirements are the following:\nBachelors of Science in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Agricultural Engineering\nMinimum of 5 years of previous experience managing projects that include substantial design efforts, permitting, constructionearth movement, and building construction\nExperience in the solid waste industry, preferred\nExcellent oral and written skills\nExcellent organizational skills\nEnjoys sharing ideas and communicating with others\nExperience in communicating with government officials and departments\nWillingness to travel outside the office 50% of the time via plane and/or car\nSuccessful candidates are those seeking a mix of field service and office work in an environment of operational excellence and accountability.
