The Specialist Welds metal parts with MIG welding equipment as specified by layout, jigs, or prints. The welder will also do basic electric and hydraulics while building the trailers.\nPay rate: $28.76\nResponsibilities\nPositions parts in jigs or fixtures on bench or floor, or clamps parts together along layout marks.\nLays out, positions, and tack welds work pieces.\nWelds along vertical, horizontal, and overhead weld lines.\nConnects regulator valves to oxygen and fuel gas cylinders for cutting torch. Turns regulator valves to activate flow of gases, lights torch, and adjusts gas mixture and pressure to obtain desired flame. Holds & guides torch at proper angle to cut metal.\nExamines weld for bead size and other specifications.\nScarfs or grooves welds and parts.\nChips or grinds off excess weld, slag, or splatter.\nMechanical: Use of hand tools & power tools are necessary to performs hoist installation.\nMig Weld along vertical & horizontal weld lines and examine welds for bead size and other specifications.
