Watts is a leading brand with a quality reputation - and we have a dynamic future ahead.\nAs the DC Supervisor, you will lead and oversee the daily operations of the warehouse and production areas, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with company policies and safety regulations, with a Continuous Improvement mindset.\nUnder the guidance of the Distribution Center Manager, you will supervise a team of 25+ direct reports, providing guidance, training, and performance management.\nThis role is on-site in Spindale, NC.\nPrimary Job Duties and Responsibilities\nPlans layout of warehouse, and other storage areas, considering turnover, size, weight, and related factors of items stored. \nAdvises employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped. Determines methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock, and related tasks. \nReviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures, and to determine adequacy of stock levels. \nAccountable for managing overall and individual/cell level production and warehouse efficiency to ensure daily prioritized production schedules, quality, and timely delivery of products, taking into consideration short term/long term production requirements.\nEstablish production and quality control standards, budgets, and cost efficiency metrics in collaboration with management.\nEnsures that standardized work procedures, SOPs/Work instructions are followed properly to improve efficiency of warehouse and assembly operations.\nSelects, trains, and directs employees according to standard Watts Water practices, offering coaching/mentoring or corrective action when appropriate. \nFully responsible for ensuring that any disciplinary actions issued due to attendance, performance, or any other non-compliance reason to the pre-established policies and procedures are well documented.\nTracks, maintains and looks for ways to improve key performance measures throughout the production environment.\nMaintains tier daily management visual boards to effectively control production, resolve problems, and communicate results.\nProcures feedback and establishes frequent communication with customers to understand needs and concerns.\nEnsures labor and machine capacities to accomplish production schedules and meet efficiency goals.\nLeads the effort in safety compliance, improvement and promoting awareness in accordance with company safety requirements and guidelines.\nResponds to line down issues and provides leadership to root cause analysis and corrective action plan execution.\nWork with production scheduler to ensure all productivity metrics such as OTIF (On-Time-in-Full) and past dues are performing at or better than pre-established targets.\nWorks with the quality department to keep scrap under control.\nResponsible for cross training the staff so direct reports are interchangeable in each assembly/warehouse area.\nWorks with management to implement/develop a Lean Manufacturing system in all production and warehouse areas including but not limited to, 5S, Standard Work, Tier Daily Management, Error Proofing, Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis.\nRequired Qualifications\nAssociate’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience.\nMinimum 3 years of supervisory experience in distribution, warehousing or manufacturing environment.\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.\nSolid understanding of supply chain, sales, and financial processes.\nStrong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.\nProven ability to build, develop, and mentor high-performing teams.\nProficient in Microsoft Office.\nUnderstanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.\nMust successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.\nPreferred Qualifications\nSAP experience\nUnderstanding of LEAN business practices\nGeneral Applicable Company Competencies\nCommitment to Watts’ values of integrity, accountability, continuous improvement and innovation, and transparency.\nPunctuality and dependability.\nAbility to be flexible and adapt to changing work priorities and stressful conditions.\nAdherence to all personnel policies, procedures, and standards of process as implemented by Watts.\nMaintain productive and collaborative relationships with other Watts employees.\nAdherence to Watts’ seven cultural beliefs: Growth Mindset, Customer-Focused Innovation, Constant Communication, Clear Goals, Collaborate Globally, Be Inclusive, and Take Action.\nWorking Conditions\nWhile performing the job duties, you will be working on-site at a manufacturing facility and will perform the majority of your duties in an office environment. You may, at times, be required to be present on the manufacturing floor and will be required to wear the appropriate personal protective equipment. You will be required to work in the office at the Spindale, NC location (Monday - Friday).
