Watts is a leading brand with a quality reputation - and we have a dynamic future ahead.\nScope of Position\nThe Distribution Center Supervisor is responsible for supervising warehouse and inventory operations within a distribution environment to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient receiving, storage, and shipping activities. The role provides day-to-day leadership to warehouse staff, owns short-term operational performance, enforces safety and operational standards, and leads continuous improvement initiatives to support inventory accuracy and operational effectiveness.\nThe position reports to the Distribution Center Manager and has direct supervisory responsibility for 20 or more employees in a distribution environment, with limited travel, as required.\nPrimary Job Duties and Responsibilities\nPlans layout of warehouse, and other storage areas, considering turnover, size, weight, and related factors of items stored.\nAdvises employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped. Determines methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock, and related tasks.\nReviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures, and to determine adequacy of stock levels.\nOversees activities of daily cycle count program.\nTraces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.\nDetermines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.\nIssues written and oral instructions.\nAssigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.\nStandardizes work procedures and creates SOPs to improve efficiency of warehouse operations.\nPrepares composite reports for daily key metrics.\nAddresses errors and complaints.\nInterprets company policies and enforces safety regulations.\nAnalyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.\nMaintains time and productivity records.\nPerform routine housekeeping to ensure area operates within parameters that conform to environmental and safety standards.\nMust wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and abide by safety rules.\nMust report any job-related injury and/or illness immediately to your direct supervisor.\nMust maintain attendance and punctuality standards as established by company.\nDirectly supervises 20+ employees in the distribution center.\nCarries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.\nResponsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.\nPerform other duties as may be assigned.\nRequired Qualitifications\nAssociates or higher in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or similar and/or\n3-5+ years in a managerial role in manufacturing, warehouse or inventory control setting\nMinimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in warehousing and logistics.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel & Word is required\nSAP Experience preferred\nUnderstanding of LEAN business practices is preferred\nWorking knowledge of distribution, transportation, and supply chain concepts.\nFamiliar with procedures, logistics for major home stores including palletizing, load balancing, height and width restrictions, pallet overhang restrictions, pallet wrap and banding requirements, pallet specifications. \nGeneral Applicable Company Competencies\nCommitment to Watts’ values of integrity, accountability, continuous improvement and innovation, and transparency. \nPunctuality and dependability. \nAbility to be flexible and adapt to changing work priorities and stressful conditions. \nAdherence to all personnel policies, procedures, and standards of process as implemented by Watts. \nMaintain productive and collaborative relationships with other Watts employees. \nAdherence to Watts’ seven cultural beliefs: Growth Mindset, Customer-Focused Innovation, Constant Communication, Clear Goals, Collaborate Globally, Be Inclusive, and Take Action.\nWorking Conditions\nWhile performing the job duties, you will be working on-site at a manufacturing facility and will perform the majority of your duties in an office environment. You may, at times, be required to be present on the manufacturing floor and will be required to wear the appropriate personal protective equipment. You will be required to work in the office at the Sparks, NV location (Monday - Friday).
