This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of industrial equipment and facility systems. Mechanics in this role work closely with engineering teams to implement, install, and commission new equipment and production systems. The ideal candidate has strong industrial experience, prioritizes safety, and understands the importance of uptime in a production environment.\nThis position reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor. This role is onsite and is based in Germantown, WI.\nPrimary Job Duties and Responsibilities\nAnalyzes, diagnoses, troubleshoots, CNC based equipment and resolves mechanical issues.\nDiagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electromechanical systems\nPerform precision maintenance on production equipment, conveyors, pumps, compressors, gearboxes, and rotating equipment\nRebuild and overhaul machinery and components to OEM specifications\nPerform advanced alignment, balancing, and vibration-related mechanical work\nTroubleshoot and maintain PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment\nSupport and troubleshoot FANUC robotics cells, including knowledge of safety circuits and end-of-arm tooling.\nIdentify failure trends and recommend corrective actions to improve equipment reliability\nCommunicate equipment status, repair needs, and improvement opportunities to supervision and operations\nDiagnose mechanical failures and determine corrective actions\nInstall, align, and dismantle machinery and mechanical components\nRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and technical drawings\nUse precision measuring tools and hand/power tools effectively\nPerform welding, cutting, fabrication, and machining as required\nReplace bearings, seals, belts, chains, and other warn components\nKnowledge Mechanical issues on presses, CNC machines, conveyors, and auxiliary equipment\nKnowledge of VFDs motors, servos, encoders, and motor control systems\nSupport Mechanical requirements for new equipment installations, line moves, and process changes\nPerform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs to minimize production downtime\nDocument Mechanical repairs, upgrades, and system modifications\nUtilizes Preventative Maintenance (PM) program (Limble)\nManages inventory of Mechanical supplies and contacts vendors. \nAccountable for department metrics. (SQDCI)\nSupports new product development at maintenance level.\nSupports Continuous Improvement initiatives\nCollaborate with engineering Teams to install, integrate, and commission new equipment and production lines\nProper use of Department measuring instruments, gauges, and meters.\nProficient knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics\nProficient knowledge of mechanical & equipment processes \nAssists in training of department employees\nFamiliar with plant and all department layouts, upon hire\nOperate stand-up and sit-down forklifts under supervision. \nCompletes industrial lift truck certifications.\nCollaborate effectively with all team members across departments.\nHelps support other department functions as needed.\nHelp create and maintain a positive work environment.\nUnderstand and abide by all company safety policies.\nAssume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by Manufacturing Supervisor or Company management.\nResponsibility directly tied to Watts Value (Integrity, Accountability, Continuous Improvement, Transparency)\nRequired Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.\n2+ years of industrial or Manufacturing or Industrial experience.\nHands-on experience with electrical systems from low voltage through 480 volts.\nExperience working with PLC-controlled equipment.\nAbility to collaborate effectively with engineers, maintenance, and production teams.\nStrong troubleshooting skills in both power and control systems.\nAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings, ladder logic, one-lines, and machine documentation. \nAbility to perform lockout/tagout (LOTO), confined space, hot work, and elevated work safely.\nUnderstanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.\nMust successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment. Respirators are required; therefore, successful completion of pulmonary function and fit tests are required.
