Watts is a leading brand with a quality reputation - and we have a dynamic future ahead.\nScope of Position\nThe Material Controller is responsible for supporting all aspects of the materials function, including receiving, shipping, inventory control, warehousing, purchasing support, and inventory replenishment activities. This position requires a broad understanding of materials management processes and the ability to perform at a high level across all departments within the materials team. The Material Controller ensures inventory accuracy, proper material handling, efficient storage practices, and timely support of internal and external customer needs.\nThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.\nThis position reports to the Warehouse Manager. This role is onsite and is based in Blauvelt, NY.\nPrimary Job Duties and Responsibilities\nProperly receive, store, bin, and palletize inventory.\nRepackage materials as required.\nProtect inventory from damage, corrosion, and deterioration.\nMaintain inventory levels through rotation of stock, replenishment, and restocking activities.\nInspect inventory and storage locations to ensure compliance with company standards.\nInspect inventory and storage locations to ensure compliance with company standards.\nMaintain accurate inventory location records within the inventory management system.\nPerform inventory replenishment activities.\nConduct cycle counts and assists with inventory accuracy initiatives.\nManage Kanban replenishment systems and place orders as required.\nMonitor inventory stock levels within the system and take appropriate action when replenishment is needed.\nMaintain inventory item information and system updates.\nMaintain stores locating and labeling systems.\nAssist with inventory layout, organization, and storage optimization.\nSupport receiving, shipping, purchasing, and materials control activities.\nAssist with operations at other company sites as needed.\nWork closely with accounting to resolve receiving, shipping, or inventory-related discrepancies.\nPartner with Sales Administration to address customer order issues.\nSupport and maintain 6S workplace organization and continuous improvement initiatives.\nFollow all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.\nMaintain equipment certifications and operate material handling equipment safely.\nParticipate in departmental training programs and cross-functional training activities.\nAdhere to established policies, procedures, and work instructions.\nAssume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by Warehouse Supervisor or Company management.\nResponsibility directly tied to Watts Value (Integrity, Accountability, Continuous Improvement, Transparency)\nTravel Requirements: N/A\nRequired Qualifications\nHigh School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)\n2+ years’ experience in inventory control, warehousing, purchasing, shipping, or related materials management functions.\nExperience working with computerized inventory and purchasing systems.\nCertified to safely operate both sit-down and stand-up forklifts.\nUnderstanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.\nMust successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks, including drug screen, and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExcellent attention to detail and accuracy.\nStrong collaboration and communication skills across departments.\nExperience working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and multiple deadlines.\nGeneral Applicable Company Competencies \nCommitment to Watts’ values of integrity, accountability, continuous improvement and innovation, and transparency.\nPunctuality and dependability.\nAbility to be flexible and adapt to changing work priorities and stressful conditions.\nAdherence to all personnel policies, procedures, and standards of process as implemented by Watts.\nMaintain productive and collaborative relationships with other Watts employees.\nAdherence to Watts’ seven cultural beliefs: Growth Mindset, Customer-Focused Innovation, Constant Communication, Clear Goals, Collaborate Globally, Be Inclusive, and Take Action.\nWorking Conditions:\nWhile performing the job duties, you will be working on-site in a manufacturing facility. You will be required to work at the Company’s AERCO International, Inc. location in Blauvelt, NY. Your scheduled work hours will be communicated to you by your manager.\nPhysical Requirements: Specific physical abilities required for this position include, but are not limited to:\nAbility to stand for long periods of time.\nAbility to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.\nAbility to push and pull up to 25 pounds.\nAbility to physically move around manufacturing floor.\nAbility to read documents and communicate clearly with management and coworkers.\nAbility to wear personal protective equipment, which may include, but is not limited to, safety shoes, hearing protection, and safety glasses.\nPay Range:\nThe expected salary range for this position is $31.52- $34.64 hourly.
