Watts is a leading brand with a quality reputation - and we have a dynamic future ahead.\nScope of Position\nThe Product Specialist supports the Senior Product Manager in the day-to-day execution of the product lifecycle, including consumer insights, product development activities, marketing support, forecasting, Stagegate, and Hansei processes. This role primarily focuses on supporting operational activities and gathering/analyzing data to assist in decision-making.\nThis individual will utilize strong analytical and communication skills to support the execution of business unit strategies that contribute to brand loyalty, sales growth, and profitability. Performs other duties as required.\nThis position reports to the Senior Product Manager. This role is onsite and is based in Fort Worth, TX.\nPrimary Job Duties and Responsibilities\nSupport the design, development, tracking, and maintenance of competitive intelligence and market penetration databases\n\nAssist in managing the stage gate process for New Product Development (NPD) initiatives\n\nGather and organize product requirements and contribute to the development of business case materials\n\nSupport customer engagement efforts to collect feedback and identify product development opportunities\n\nPrepare and maintain NPD scorecards and supporting presentation materials for monthly reviews\n\nDevelop and maintain dashboards to provide visibility into product performance and analytics\n\nCoordinate with Engineering and Product Development teams to support on-time and on-budget product launches\n\nAssist in developing financial projections and supporting growth plans for new product launches\n\nSupport customer training sessions on product strategy and offerings\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to support project and product initiatives\n\nAssist in the creation of product documentation and sales collateral for internal and external use\n\nAssume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by Senior Product Manager or Company management.\n\nResponsibility directly tied to Watts Value (Integrity, Accountability, Continuous Improvement, Transparency)\n\nTravel Requirements: \n\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in a related field\n\nLess than 2 years of relevant experience in product development, marketing, or brand management, with a foundational understanding of commercial production, sales, and marketing\n\nWorking knowledge of sales channels, including distribution, contractors, end users, and specifying engineers\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; experience with Access is a plus\n\nAbility to develop, track, and report on activities and performance to senior management\n\nStrong interpersonal skills, including problem-solving, decision-making, influencing, and change management\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams\n\nUnderstanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.\n\nMust successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.\n\nGeneral Applicable Company Competencies \nCommitment to Watts’ values of integrity, accountability, continuous improvement and innovation, and transparency.\n\nPunctuality and dependability.\n\nAbility to be flexible and adapt to changing work priorities and stressful conditions.\n\nAdherence to all personnel policies, procedures, and standards of process as implemented by Watts.\n\nMaintain productive and collaborative relationships with other Watts employees.\n\nAdherence to Watts’ seven cultural beliefs: Growth Mindset, Customer-Focused Innovation, Constant Communication, Clear Goals, Collaborate Globally, Be Inclusive, and Take Action.\n\nWorking Conditions:\nWhile performing the job duties, you will be working on-site at a manufacturing facility and will perform the majority of your duties in an office environment. You may, at times, be required to be present on the manufacturing floor and will be required to wear the appropriate personal protective equipment. You will be required to work in the office at the Fort Worth, TX location (Monday - Friday).
