Watts is a leading brand with a quality reputation - and we have a dynamic future ahead.\nScope of Position\nThe Production Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of personnel and production on the shop floor. This position implements Lean principles in their area; provides support and oversees the work performed by the Lead Associates; and maintains the physical plant within the assigned area.\nThis position is responsible for the supervisor of 10+ union workers.\nThis position reports to the Director, Operations. This role is onsite and is based in Blauvelt, NY.\n Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities\nReview daily visual production boards to maintain efficient production performance; provides prioritized production scheduling to all Lead Associates and team members.\nResponsible for the implementation of Lean principles in their area to include elements of takt-time, balanced flow process, visual factory, empowered team meetings, total safety, standardized work and world class 5S standards.\nSupervise all work performed in their area; offer coaching/mentoring and/or corrective action when appropriate.\nDevelop and empower team members in the application of Lean tools to include facilitation, process mapping, spaghetti charting, and the identification and elimination of the 7 wastes. \nLead the effort in safety compliance, improvement and promoting awareness in accordance with company safety requirements and guidelines; drive 5S into the production line on a daily basis.\nHelp coordinate “Pull” signals and shop activities on a daily basis; promote 1 piece flow and response to daily customer demand; support Kanban Supermarkets where needed.\nSupport Kanban inventory replenishment in coordination with Planner/Buyers and Material Handlers.\nRespond to line down issues and provide leadership to root cause analysis and corrective action plan execution.\nProvide assistance to the Lead Associates and team members.\nKeeps Facilities / Maintenance informed of any issue outside of normal with any of the production or production support equipment.\nConduct meetings with Lead Associates (if there are any in the Value Stream) as needed.\nParticipate in Kaizen events as needed. Review and update ECO’s.\nHelp approve weekly attendance for temporary team members.\nEnsure quality standards are met with all products. Administer AERCO policies and procedures. You will be required to wear the appropriate personal protective equipment. You will be required to work in the office at the Blauvelt, NY location (Monday - Friday). Your scheduled work hours will be communicated to you by your manager.\nPhysical Requirements: Specific physical abilities required for this position include, but are not limited to:\nAbility to stand for long periods of time\nAbilit to physically move around manufacturing floor.\nAbility to perform repetitive tasks like typing on a keyboard or using a mouse for extended periods.\nAbility to read documents, use a computer, and perform data entry tasks.\nAbility to communicate clearly with management and coworkers, particularly in meetings or phone calls.\nAbility to operate standard office equipment such as computers, printers, phones, and copiers.\nAbility to occasionally lift and carry light objects, such as office supplies, documents, or small equipment.\nThe expected salary range for this position is $95,000 - $110,000 yearly.
