These will include PMOs, engineering consultancies, architects, general contractors, MEP contractors, specialist data centre designers, developers, operators and other key project stakeholders.\nThe successful candidate will combine technical credibility, commercial awareness and strong relationship-building skills to position Watts solutions early in the project lifecycle and support the conversion of specifications into orders.\nKey Responsibilities\nSpecification Development\nIdentify and develop project opportunities at the earliest possible design stage.\nInfluence product selection and secure Watts products within project specifications, design standards and approved product schedules.\nBuild and maintain a strong specification pipeline from concept through to order placement.\nTrack specified projects and work with regional sales teams to maximise conversion into revenue.\nPromote the wider Watts portfolio where relevant to the project application.\nStakeholder Engagement\nDevelop strategic relationships with PMOs, engineering companies, architects, general contractors and MEP contractors.\nEngage data centre developers, owners, operators, colocation providers, hyperscalers and technical advisors.\nBuild relationships with mission-critical consultants, specialist designers, system integrators, package manufacturers and other organisations able to influence product selection.\nEstablish Watts as a trusted technical partner with key decision-makers and project influencers.\nTechnical Promotion and Support\nDeliver CPD seminars, technical presentations, product demonstrations and application-based training.\nProvide specification guidance, product selection support and assistance with technical submissions.\nWork with engineering and product teams to address project-specific requirements.\nCommunicate Watts product capabilities, value propositions and technical differentiators clearly and credibly.\nOpportunity and Market Management\nMaintain accurate records of projects, specification status, stakeholder engagement and next actions within the CRM system.\nMonitor market trends, investment activity, competitor positioning and emerging technical requirements.\nProvide regular pipeline reports, forecasts and market intelligence to the business.\nIdentify gaps in the portfolio and provide structured feedback to Product Management and Engineering.\nSupport the development of strategic account plans for major consultants, contractors and end users.\nInternal Collaboration\nWork closely with regional sales teams to ensure continuity from specification through procurement and order placement.\nCollaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, Operations and Customer Service.\nSupport customer visits, project reviews, exhibitions and industry events.\nShare best practice and project intelligence across the European organisation.\nCandidate Profile\nDemonstrable experience in specification sales, technical sales, business development or consultant engagement.\nExperience working with engineering consultancies, contractors, architects or other project influencers.\nTechnical understanding of mechanical building services, HVAC, hydronics, plumbing, water technologies or mission-critical infrastructure.\nExisting exposure to the data centre sector is desirable, although strong transferable specification experience will also be considered.\nConfident presenter with the ability to communicate technical information to varied audiences.\nDynamic, self-motivated and comfortable developing new relationships and markets.\nCommercially aware, organised and able to manage a complex project pipeline.\nWilling and able to travel extensively across Europe.\nFluent English required;
