Watts is a leading brand with a quality reputation - and we have a dynamic future ahead.\nScope of Position\nThe Shipping/Receiving Clerk is responsible for streamlining shipping operations - organizing and managing day to day activities, coordinate with freight companies, addressing and resolving shipping related issues. This self-motivated individual will collaborate with other departments to receive manufactured items in a timely manner.\nThis position reports to the Shipping/Receiving Supervisor. This role is onsite and is based in St. Paul's, NC\nPrimary Job Duties and Responsibilities\nCompletes order maintenance generating invoices for all work assignments\nPrints need jobs for items to be pulled for UPS\nFiles and tracks various paperwork as required\nPrepares bills of lading for shipments to customers and verifies BOL's with actual load sheet\nVerifies packing slip and related papers with orders received\nProvides POD's for customers and customer service for lost or delayed shipment\nWorks with customer service to release orders with internal data entry problems that need to be expedited or are past due\nMonitors and helps expedite past due orders using the Down in Shipping Report and the Order Overdue Report\nObtains dimensions and documents for export shipments.\nWorks with Quality to obtain proper documentation\nIssues paperwork for materials returned\nHelps maintain inventory accuracy and MRP requirements by monitoring and correcting over allocated items using Over Allocation Report, Location - Order Number Report, and Shipping Transaction Edit Report\nWorks with other departments to have items sent to warehouse to fill customer orders\nContacts trucking firms for rate quotes and pick-ups for expedited orders for outbound operation\nReports shortages or overages to appropriate resources\nWorks with customers and trucking firms to trace lost shipments\nWorks directly with Transportation Coordinators \nFiles damage claims with trucking companies for payment\nHas the responsibility to maintain and achieve on time in full and sales goal of the day determined by management\nUpdates and maintains reports on the tier boards posted in the area.\nRequired Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent; or a combination of education and experience.\n1+ years of experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team\nExcellent communication skills\nAbility to read, write and understand English\nUnderstanding and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations and safety practices and procedures.\nMust successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.\nPreferred Qualifications\nProficiency in SAP, Excel, QAD\nFamiliarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.\nGeneral Applicable Company Competencies\nCommitment to Watts’ values of integrity, accountability, continuous improvement and innovation, and transparency.\nPunctuality and dependability.\nAbility to be flexible and adapt to changing work priorities and stressful conditions.\nAdherence to all personnel policies, procedures, and standards of process as implemented by Watts.\nMaintain productive and collaborative relationships with other Watts employees.\nAdherence to Watts’ seven cultural beliefs: Growth Mindset, Customer-Focused Innovation, Constant Communication, Clear Goals, Collaborate Globally, Be Inclusive, and Take Action.\nWorking Conditions\nWhile performing the job duties, you will be working on-site in a manufacturing facility. You will be required to work at the Company’s location in St. Pauls, NC Monday-Friday with Saturday work on occasion.
