As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for reviewing and processing firewall change requests, routing changes, and assisting with troubleshooting client connectivity issues, supporting and maintaining VoIP and Wireless Networks for our customers, as well as Break/Fix replacement\nMust-Have Skills:\nFirewalling\nBuilding and configuration Cisco Firepower Threat Defence Security Appliances\nUnderstanding of Network Security Risks and Best Practices\nWireless Networks\nInstallation and Configuration of Wireless Controllers for Multiple Access Points\nTroubleshooting Reports of Poor Signal or Performance\nSwitching\nConfiguration of VLAN’s, Link Aggregation, Spanning Tree and interoperability between different Vendor systems\nTroubleshooting of ‘SmartPort’ issues, Broadcast Storms, Network Loops, and tracing mac-addresses through a network\nExperience of using CDP/LLDP for Network Mapping or Troubleshooting.\nVoIP\nUnderstanding of Call Routing, CLI Presentations, Hunt Groups, Auto Attendants and Voicemail on Cisco Call Manager and Cisco Unity Connections.\nTroubleshooting reports of poor quality calls, call drops or unexpected behaviour.\nProblem-Solving and Troubleshooting Skills\nExcellent Communication Skills\n Verbal and Written Communication and Process Documentation\nGood-to-Have Skills:\nUnderstanding of Static vs Dynamic Routing protocols, specifically on Cisco FTD Firewalls.\nExperience with troubleshooting SNORT3 issues on Cisco FTD Firewalls\nCisco Call Manager Upgrades and Advanced Troubleshooting\nCCNA or CCNP Qualification would be an advantage\nCompTIA Security +\nCompTIA Network +\n At Wavenet, we offer more than just a job - we provide an exceptional environment and a wide range of benefits to support your success from day one.
