Leveraging a diverse skill set, you'll collaborate within a team of engineers, reporting to our Head of Operations, to design and implement technical strategies that drive transformative change within the organization, ultimately enhancing customer satisfaction. This role presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced network engineer to contribute to a rapidly growing, dedicated, and collaborative organization.\nEnsure the optimization and security of both our infrastructure and our clients' infrastructure.\nProvide expert support to service desk engineering teams for complex faults or customer change requests.\nConfigure and troubleshoot core network devices, including core switches/routers and firewalls.\nDeliver outstanding support to customers regarding fault escalations and change requests via our helpdesk.\nApply 'ITIL' principles and adhere to best practices and internal change request processes.\nFollow change control procedures diligently, furnishing both high and low-level documentation to support proposed changes.\nBe available for voluntary/rotational work outside of regular hours to complete planned/emergency maintenance tasks or customer change requests (overtime compensated).\nAssist in the timely delivery of complex internal or customer projects.\nFacilitate knowledge sharing within the broader Network Infrastructure Team.\nConfigure and troubleshoot core network devices, including core switches/routers and firewalls. The work will be undertaken both remotely and on-site at our core data centres.\nParticipate in customer calls, video conferences, and in-person meetings as required to support successful network project execution.\nManage IP Address and VLAN Management tasks effectively.\nConfigure and troubleshoot the Cisco Call Manager Telephony System and associated Cisco Unity Voicemail Platform.\nConfigure and troubleshoot CUBE Gateways and SIP Endpoints.\n About You:\nPossess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nExhibit self-motivation, drive, passion, and enthusiasm.\nCapable of operating effectively in challenging and pressurized situations.\nDisplay exceptional proficiency in both written and verbal English communication.\nCommitted to delivering outstanding customer experiences.\nDemonstrate meticulous attention to detail across all tasks and responsibilities.\nAdaptability to work independently or collaboratively within diverse team settings, depending on project requirements.\nFlexible approach to working hours and locations to accommodate the dynamic needs of the business.\nFull UK driving licence\nEssential Skills / Experience:\nHold a current CCNA or JNCIA Certification.\nPrior experience in an ISP, MSP, or service desk environment.\nPossess a keen interest and comprehensive understanding of IP networking, including WAN & LAN technologies.\nExhibit strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities across multiple vendors/platforms.\nProficient understanding of best practices in network security.\nHands-on experience in implementing and supporting LAN/WAN network equipment, protocols, and communication standards (Cisco & Juniper).\nKnowledgeable about Firewalls/Security Appliances (Cisco ASA/FTD & FortiGate).\nHands-on experience of configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManger) and Cisco Unity Connection\nDesirable Skills / Experience:\nFamiliarity with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG).\nProficiency in drafting comprehensive change request documentation, including high-level and low-level diagrams.\nExperience with IPSEC, SSL VPN, and Remote Access solutions.\nPursuing or holding CCNP or JNCIP certification.\nUnderstanding of Network Load Balancing, encompassing website traffic, remote access, and critical service accessibility.\nUnderstanding and experience of SingleWire InformaCast Paging/Broadcast system.\n At Wavenet, we offer more than just a job - we provide an exceptional environment and a wide range of benefits to support your success from day one.
