Join us at Waymo for a fun and rewarding internship!\nYou will:\nCollaborate with the team to analyze experiment results, document findings, and help integrate the most successful strategies into production \nPrototype scheduling algorithms aimed at smoothing out computational load \nRun benchmarks to analyze the speed, throughput and resource efficiency of related systems, and specific implementations\nYou have:\nCurrently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field\nSolid foundation in computer science fundamentals, particularly in data structures & algorithms\nStrong software development skills with proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language (e.g., C++, Java, Python) and SQL. Desire to learn and work extensively in C++\nFamiliarity with or strong interest in foundational concepts related to distributed systems, data processing pipelines, or operating systems\nFamiliarity with statistical concepts necessary for interpreting large datasets\nWe prefer:\nStrong general coding skills and the ability to write robust software. C++ proficiency is a strong plus\nExperience or coursework related to distributed systems, operating systems (specifically task scheduling), or data processing pipelines.\nFamiliarity with software profiling and benchmarking\nExperience working with large datasets and utilizing data analysis tools to evaluate system performance.\nNote: This will be a hybrid onsite internship position.
