Upon completion of training, the schedule will transition to third shift, Sunday through Thursday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.\nRESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:\nParticipates in supervision and maintaining the Preventative Maintenance Program that will assure machinery, grounds and buildings are kept in workmanlike condition, meeting or exceeding regulatory compliance, e.g. USDA, GMP’s OSHA, environmental et al. \nSupervises Maintenance Department personnel in day-to-day operation to insure minimal downtime, costs, and zero accidents.\nOrganizes, works on and assigns work priorities and scheduling repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools and equipment in support of production operations.\nIdentifies and recommends cost reduction opportunities in conjunction with operating teams.\nCollaborates with other departments such as Engineering, Product Development and Quality Assurance in resolving maintenance related issues.\nSupervises and maintains an accurate and effective parts inventory.\nParticipates in hiring and developing well-skilled Maintenance Associates.\nOther projects and duties as assigned.\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required.\n2+ years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.\nDemonstrated high level of organizational skills.\nExcellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.\nProficient computer skills with a focus on PM Systems and Microsoft Applications. \nKnowledge of maintenance duties, programs and requirement in a regulated food manufacturing environment or similar industry..\nKnowledge of regulatory requirements, especially those governing the food industry, and a thorough understanding of the required support for maintaining utility function (i.e. various refrigeration and freezing systems, boilers, HVAC, PLC, etc.).\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nSupervises 5 - 15 hourly maintenance employees. \nSUPERVISORY ROLE:\n This role is a Leader of People role with required competencies: Sizing up People, Delegation, Planning, Customer Focus and Conflict Management\nPROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS:\nResolves routine problems with discrepancies that arise while performing daily tasks.\nManages multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and prioritizes work accordingly.\nApplies basis reasoning skills and carries out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.\nAbility to read, understand and interpret data and draw logical conclusions based on the available inputs.\nApplies critical thinking skills in standardized situations as well as non-routine problems.\nSAFETY SKILLS:\nFollows Standard Operating Procedures and adheres to safety requirements.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nFrequently lifts up to 20 lbs. and occasionally lifts up to 50 lbs.\nFrequently uses visual skills to read numbers and details in small print as well as to read computerized data.\nFrequently talks and receives auditory information.\nFrequently uses fine finger and hand manipulation skills to pick up and move paperwork as well as to operate the computer.\nWalk in and on the outside of the facility continuously.\nMust be able to withstand hot and cold
