Trains new and current associates on jobs in area as needed. Performs all work in compliance with company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.\nRESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:\nIndependently fills in and performs work while regular worker absent from workstation.\nDistributes knives prior to shift start, swaps out knives during shift and collects knives at end of shift\nSets up assigned lines with stands and ice\nTrains/cross-trains incoming or current workers on new skills as needed\nMaintains clean and sanitary work area around assigned line\nPerforms all work in compliance with company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.\nOther duties as assigned\nEDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required\nBasic math skills\nEXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:\nAbility to perform one or more functions of deboning process\nDemonstrated leadership abilities\nAbility to work unsupervised and self-motivate\nAbility to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours\nSound work ethic, honesty and moral character\nSAFETY REQUIREMENTS:\nFollow departmental and company safety policies and programs\nMust wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in areas where required\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nStand up to 8 hours\nLift up to 60 lbs\nWork in a wet and cold environment (45ºF, 4ºC)\nWill be exposed to noise of > 85 decibels, CO2 and moving production equipment\nAbility to lift 10 lbs repeatedly and climb steps\nAbility to frequently kneel, crawl, stoop,
