This is more than just a job - it’s a chance to build meaningful relationships and create lasting change.\nAbout the Role:\nOur Floating Support Service provides flexible, person-centred support to individuals experiencing homelessness and challenges related to drug and alcohol misuse.\nWe work across community settings, supported accommodation, and outreach services to empower people to improve their wellbeing, sustain accommodation, reduce harm, and move towards greater independence.\nThe service supports adults with a range of complex and multiple needs, including substance misuse, mental health challenges, offending behaviour, and social isolation.\nOur approach is recovery-focused, trauma-informed, and centred around building positive, trusting relationships that promote long-term stability and resilience.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nAs a Floating Support Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in supporting individuals to:\nMaintain and sustain their accommodation and reduce the risk of homelessness.\nDevelop independent living skills, confidence, and personal resilience.\nAccess housing, benefits, healthcare, treatment services, education, training, and employment opportunities.\nImprove wellbeing through tailored support planning and practical assistance.\nReduce harm and engage positively with recovery-focused services relating to drug and alcohol use.\nBuild positive routines and strengthen connections within their local community.\nYou’ll provide flexible support through home visits, outreach work, welfare checks, and partnership working with a range of external agencies.\nYou’ll work both independently and as part of a supportive team, ensuring individuals receive compassionate, person-centred support that reflects their unique needs and goals.\nTo Succeed in This Role, You’ll Need:\nWe are looking for someone who is compassionate, motivated, and committed to supporting individuals with complex needs to achieve positive outcomes.\nYou’ll ideally have:\nExperience working with individuals affected by homelessness, substance misuse, mental health challenges, or social exclusion.\nAn understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and recovery-focused support approaches.\nThe ability to build positive professional relationships and maintain appropriate boundaries.\nStrong communication, organisational, and record-keeping skills.\nConfidence working independently in community and outreach-based settings, as well as collaboratively within a wider team.\nA flexible and proactive approach to supporting individuals with varying levels of need.\nA full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential, as the role involves travelling across the community to carry out home visits, outreach work, and appointments with service users.\nExperience in support work or housing-related services is desirable, although we welcome applicants with transferable skills, relevant lived experience, and a genuine passion for helping others make positive changes in their lives.\nTo see a copy if the full job description please click here.\nWhat We Offer\nWe value the people who make a difference every day.
