This is more than just a job - it’s a chance to build meaningful relationships and create lasting change.\nAbout the Role.\nWe are looking for a motivated and compassionate Pharmacy Technician to join our clinical team at Calderdale Recovery, supporting people accessing drug and alcohol recovery services.\nYou'll play a key role in delivering safe, effective and person-centred care, supporting medicines optimisation, opioid substitution treatment and harm reduction.\nWorking closely with colleagues across our multidisciplinary team, you'll use your pharmacy expertise to help improve people's health and wellbeing while supporting them throughout their recovery journey.\nThis is a varied clinical role where you'll work alongside recovery colleagues, prescribers, primary and secondary care, community pharmacies and other healthcare professionals to ensure people receive safe, coordinated and effective treatment.\nWhat You’ll Do.\nSupport the safe and effective use of medicines across the service.\nDispense and administer medicines where appropriate and within your professional competencies.\nSupport the safe management of controlled drugs, medicines and stock.\nProvide clear medication advice and support to people accessing the service and other healthcare professionals.\nSupport prescribing, treatment reviews and medicines optimisation.\nContribute to opioid substitution treatment, including medications such as methadone and buprenorphine.\nUndertake and support health assessments, basic clinical observations and harm reduction interventions.\nSupport Blood Borne Virus (BBV) screening and immunisation services.\nWork collaboratively with Recovery Coordinators, prescribers, pharmacies and other healthcare professionals.\nContribute to medicines safety, clinical governance, audits and the management of medicines-related incidents.\nMaintain accurate, timely and confidential clinical records.\nTo Succeed in This Role, You’ll Need:\nCurrent registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).\nAn NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services, BTEC Pharmacy Technician qualification or equivalent.\nRelevant post-qualification experience within community pharmacy, primary care or secondary care.\nExperience of providing medicines-related advice and supporting safe medicines management.\nKnowledge of Controlled Drugs regulations and medicines optimisation.\nExcellent communication and problem-solving skills.\nThe ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.\nA compassionate, non-judgemental and person-centred approach.\nGood IT skills and the ability to maintain accurate clinical records.\nA commitment to promoting people's health, wellbeing and recovery.\nExperience within drug and alcohol, mental health or related services would be advantageous.\nTo see the full job description please click here.\nWhat We Offer\nWe value the people who make a difference every day.
