We value diversity, embrace new perspectives, and foster an inclusive work environment; we back each other to deliver impact.\nMake Wayve the experience that defines your career!\nThe Role\nAs a Platform Engineer, you will help build, operate, and improve the cloud platforms and infrastructure that support Wayve's software development and release systems.\nWorking as part of a team, you’ll focus on maintaining reliable, scalable, and secure cloud environments, while improving the systems that enable efficient software development, testing, and deployment. This is a hands-on role with opportunities to deepen your expertise in cloud infrastructure, automation, and platform engineering.\nKey Responsibilities\nBuild, maintain, and improve cloud infrastructure (primarily Azure) to support development, testing, and production environments.\nContribute to Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) implementations (e.g. Terraform, Ansible) to ensure consistent and repeatable infrastructure provisioning.\nSupport and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment systems running in cloud environments.\nMonitor, troubleshoot, and optimise cloud systems for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.\nAssist in managing containerised workloads and orchestration platforms (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes).\nImplement and maintain observability tools (logging, metrics, alerting) to ensure system health and rapid incident response.\nWork with engineering teams to ensure infrastructure meets application requirements and supports scalable software delivery.\nHelp improve security, access control, and compliance within cloud environments.\nParticipate in incident response and root cause analysis for infrastructure and deployment issues.\nContinuously improve automation, reducing manual operations across infrastructure and deployment workflows.\nAbout You\nEssential:\n2-5 years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or related engineering roles.\nHands-on experience with at least one cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP).\nExperience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g. Terraform, Ansible).\nFamiliarity with CI/CD systems and cloud-based deployment pipelines.\nBasic understanding of networking, cloud architecture, and system reliability.\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\nDesirable:\nExperience with containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).\nFamiliarity with monitoring and observability tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).\nExperience working with Linux systems and shell scripting.\nProgramming or scripting experience (e.g. Python, Bash, Go, or similar).\nUnderstanding of security best practices in cloud environments.\nExposure to large-scale or distributed systems\nWayve is committed to creating an inclusive interview experience.
