Every role here, whatever the team, plugs into that.\nHere’s what this particular role covers.\nAbout our Engineering Teams\nOur Cloud Infrastructure team builds, operates, and improves the shared cloud platforms that support Wayve’s engineering organisation. We work with engineering teams to create secure, reliable, and scalable infrastructure that meets application needs and supports scalable software delivery.\nYour day-to-day\nAs a Platform Engineer, you’ll work across cloud foundations, Terraform, Kubernetes, developer environments, observability, and FinOps. This is a hands-on role with opportunities to deepen your expertise in cloud infrastructure and governance, security and FinOps tooling, automation, observability, and platform engineering.\nBuild and operate secure, scalable cloud environments with consistent governance and standards.\n\nDevelop Infrastructure-as-Code, automation, and self-service tooling that make infrastructure provisioning and change safe and repeatable.\n\nOwn the lifecycle and governance of Kubernetes clusters, continuously improving how they are provisioned, configured, upgraded, maintained, and recovered.\n\nOperate and improve shared developer environments and observability platforms.\n\nWork with engineering teams to ensure platforms meet application needs and support scalable software delivery.\n\nContribute to incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement of infrastructure and operational practices.\n\nWhat you’ll be working on:\nCloud foundations: secure, reliable, and scalable shared infrastructure, with consistent governance and standards.\n\nTerraform, Infrastructure-as-Code, and self-service tooling that help engineering teams provision and change infrastructure safely.\n\nKubernetes cluster lifecycle and governance, from provisioning and configuration through upgrades, maintenance, and recovery.\n\nShared developer environments and observability platforms that support engineering productivity and operational visibility.\n\nSecurity and FinOps tooling, automation, and improvements to infrastructure reliability and operational practices.\n\nYou should apply if:\nEssential\nStrong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.\n\n3 years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes administratorion, developer infrastructure, or related engineering roles.\n\nExperience with one or more of the following:\nAt least one cloud platform, such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.\n\nInfrastructure-as-Code tools, such as Terraform and Ansible.\n\nContainer technologies such as Docker or Podman\n\nLinux environments, including distributions like Ubuntu.\n\nNetworking, cloud architecture, system reliability, and secure access controls.\n\nExperience with Linux, Git, and shell scripting.\n\nDesirable\nExperience with multi-cloud governance, including neocloud environments.\n\nExperience building self-service infrastructure tools, standard provisioning workflows, or reusable platform capabilities.\n\nExperience operating observability platforms for metrics, logs, and traces, using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or OpenTelemetry.\n\nExperience managing developer environments, such as Coder or comparable remote development platforms.\n\nExperience implementing infrastructure security guardrails in partnership with security teams.\n\nExperience improving platform reliability through incident response, recovery procedures, and reducing operational toil.\n\nExperience with FinOps tools, improving cloud cost efficiency and operational resilience.\n\nNot ticking every box?
