Role Overview

The HSE Training Manager is responsible for leading the development, coordination, and delivery of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) training programs and inductions across all Miral Experiences departments.

This role is instrumental in promoting a positive safety culture, ensuring colleagues possess the knowledge and competencies required to work safely, and supporting compliance with local regulations, international standards, and company policies. Working closely with HSE leaders and department stakeholders, the HSE Training Manager will identify training needs, design impactful learning solutions, manage competency frameworks, and drive continuous improvement in HSE performance throughout the organization.

The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing colleague and guest safety by developing engaging training programs, overseeing certifications and accreditations, and ensuring the organization maintains the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and implement the organization's HSE training strategy in alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and ISO 45001 standards.
  • Conduct Training Needs Analyses (TNA), competency assessments, and maintain comprehensive training matrices across all departments.
  • Develop, deliver, and continuously improve classroom-based, practical, workplace, and e-learning HSE training programs.
  • Coordinate and manage all HSE inductions, mandatory training, refresher courses, and competency-based development programs.
  • Monitor training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, audits, incident data, and performance indicators.
  • Maintain accurate training records, certifications, competency evaluations, and compliance documentation.
  • Develop monthly training calendars and ensure timely communication with stakeholders.
  • Manage relationships with external training providers, certification bodies, and accreditation organizations.
  • Coordinate certification examinations and ensure compliance with accreditation requirements.
  • Prepare reports and KPI dashboards to demonstrate training performance and competency development across the organization.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a recognized HSE qualification.
  • NEBOSH IGC, NEBOSH Diploma, NVQ, IOSH, or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Recognized Train-the-Trainer qualification, such as:
    • Highfield Level 3 International Award in Delivering Training
    • Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET)
    • Or equivalent.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience delivering HSE training programs.
  • Experience facilitating classroom, practical, and workplace-based HSE training.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 45001 and HSE management systems.
  • Experience conducting competency assessments and training needs analysis.
  • Excellent presentation, coaching, facilitation, and communication skills.

Desirable

  • Professional membership with IOSH, IIRSM, or equivalent.
  • PASMA, IPAF, Working at Height, or related technical qualifications.
  • Experience delivering accredited HSE qualifications.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Experience within theme parks, hospitality, facilities management, construction, or other high-risk operational environments.

Skills

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and reporting abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Experience developing engaging classroom, practical, and workplace training solutions.
