And it is only by uncovering these truths that we can make real, meaningful progress.\nAbout the Role \nThe Account Director, Technology will lead day-to-day communications programs for a leading technology client spanning professional services, AI, telecommunications, semiconductors, cybersecurity, and business transformation. The ideal candidate is a strategic communicator and earned media leader with a strong understanding of the B2B enterprise technology landscape, a passion for identifying compelling stories, and experience translating complex business and technology topics into clear, impactful narratives. This individual will drive integrated communications efforts around executive thought leadership platforms, major industry moments, announcements, and flagship events; serve as a trusted counselor to senior clients; lead proactive media relations and storytelling strategies; oversee account operations and financial performance; and mentor a high-performing team while helping drive agency growth and cross-functional collaboration.\nResponsibilities\nOversee the day-to-day execution of communications programs across several lines of business\nDrive news and storytelling around major client and industry moments and flagship events\nDevelop compelling story angles, lead/action team in proactive pitching and help shape earned media strategies\nWrite and edit a wide range of communications materials, including pitches, messaging, executive briefing documents, media lists, and coverage reports\nBuild and maintain relationships with business, technology/AI, and trade media; proactively engage around client opportunities and issues \nMonitor and analyze the media landscape, industry trends, cultural conversation and competitors to identify timely story angles and potential reputational considerations \nProvide ongoing strategic and tactical counsel to clients on the evolving communications landscape and its implications for their business and brand \nPursue and coordinate cross-account/practice and global business opportunities \nLead preparation and delivery of organic growth or new business proposal content and in person pitch meetings \nContribute to agency strategic planning initiatives \nManage account budgets, utilization, scopes, and financial performance \nOversee resource allocation across team including staffing, hiring, and onboarding new talent \nManage career development and performance of direct reports, managing up to senior staff on issues, and client/team satisfaction while holding the team accountable to demonstrating agency values \nQualifications\n5-7+ years of experience in integrated communications or PR, preferably in an agency setting and/or within an applicable industry\nProficiency with Microsoft Office suite (particularly Outlook, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint and Excel)\nTechnology client experience preferred\nPreferred Qualifications\nHas established relationships with media with a demonstrated track record of proactively developing and placing compelling stories\nExperience developing earned media strategies\nStrong analytical skills and the ability to translate industry developments, cultural trends, and audience insights into strategic communications recommendations\nStrong presentation and consulting skills along with the ability to read, write and speak English\nDemonstrated creative and strategic mindset\nHigh level of initiative; take accountability for role on projects\nExperience building and managing a team from the ground up\nExperience working globally or with colleagues in multiple locations\nAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, agency environment\nMay need to work more than 40 hours per week on occasion\nAbility to lift up to 25 lbs\n#LI-hybrid \nCompensation\nThe base annual salary range for this role, applicable across all U.S. locations, is outlined below.
